The difference between Millennials and Zoomers

FYI, Millennials are born in the early 80s to mid 90s, while Zoomers are born in the late 90s to early 10s.
CARTOONS:
Millennial: Hilariously witty, subversive, and in many cases either violent (Powerpuff Girls) or scary (Courage the Cowardly Dog). Memorable blocks like Disney Afternoon, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, and Toonami that were an immersive experience rather than just a collection of shows.
Zoomer: Nothing but either gross-out or pandering to tumblr. Classic Ed Edd n Eddy-like slapstick is barely anywhere to be found, and there's almost no hidden adult jokes. Not many programming blocks, and the few that they did have (Miguzi, Fried Dynamite, etc.) were watered-down. Heavily watered-down. No wonder they're so sensitive compared to Millennials.
VIDEO GAMES:
Millennial: 3rd-6th generation, no DLC or P2W. We had to actually unlock everything. Many games were a real test of character (Ghosts n' Goblins, Frogger for the PS1, etc.). Magazines like Nintendo Power provided great supplementary content.
Zoomer: P2W, DLC, graphics above gameplay/story. Soulless FPS games and stuff like Angry Birds reign.
MUSIC:
Millennial: 3 distinct eras: nu-metal (1998-2004), emo (2004-2008), and electropop (2008-2013). All unique and diverse with their own feel.
Zoomer: Nothing but EDM. Thanks, One Direction!
INTERNET:
Millennial: The Golden Age of the Internet. We had AOL, Neopets, Newgrounds, Something Awful, YTMND, Homestar Runner, Golden Age RuneScape (2004-2007), flash games, and so much more.
Zoomer: Nothing but social media, everything is consolidated into a few sites (YouTube, Reddit, etc.), independent forums like this one aren't as prevalent as before.
What you do in your childhood has at least some influence on your adulthood. As you can see, Millennials (along with late Xers) had quite possibly the best kid culture ever, while Zoomers missed out. Maybe that's why Zoomers desperately try and stretch the Millennial birth range so they can squeeze themselves in.

I'm a millennial by birth year and I've never seen any of these shows. And I watched a lot of cartoons.

I'm a late X'er and none of that is stuff from my childhood

You must’ve not spent much time on Cartoon Network.

Maybe you were in the older half of the generation (stuff like Ren and Stimpy, X-Men, Gargoyles, etc.). Different shows, but the same level of edginess, unlike just about everything from 2006-now.

Both of those are almost bridge Zoomer. Not knocking them, but almost half of Millennials had reached their teens by time Powerpuff Girls aired its first episode.

It wasn't on the basic cable package in Opelousas when I was growing up, so no.
Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, X Men, Batman, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and maybe Muppet Babies were the afternoon cartoons. The Saturday mornings were Garfield and friends and Looney Toons.
The original Nicktoons as well. Rugrats, Doug, Ren and Stempy

Seems pretty accurate to me

Rewatching on boomerang right now. Holy frick that show was created by some fricked up minds. I used to watch it with one hand on the remote and the other on the covers to pull over my head as a kid

Powerpuff Girls last episode aired before the earliest Zoomers were in the target audience

You're a zoomer, get over it.

What do you mean? I basically grew up watching those.

This seems like an extremely subjective and biased description. And I’m a millennial.
