are you saying 3-5 year olds dont watch cartoons? frick my 1yo watches disney movies and cartoons.

I'm not saying 3-5 year olds don't watch cartoons. I'm saying PPG is not intended for an audience of 3-5 year olds, even if some parents might put their kids in front of the TV for PPG. Looking online, its rating is for kids 8+

Especially because cartoons tend to be heavy on re-runs even after no longer in production

Shows like Dexter, PPG, and Courage were taken off the air almost immediately after their final episodes aired. By 2006 you couldn't find these shows anywhere.

Are we really limiting ourselves to basic cable in 2006?

i understand.

for them, he's right
no he isnt. by definiton a Millennial is a person who came of age around the millennium therefore someone who wasnt at least 12-13 bu 2000 should not be classified as a Millennial.

Now before you melt on me, I understand some of these research groups that still follow the 20 year range still categorize kids born in the 90s as millennials, but by definition of a millennial they arent. And i do believe the further we get away from that time it will hone in on a tighter age range.

The term Xennial has been around for a few years and i will gain steam because someone born in 1982 has nothing in common with someone born in 1992. That is a fact. the exponential growth of technology mad it to where life was completely different in 5 years. It is not like it used to be where there is no difference between 1900 and 1920. or 1965 and 1970.

ok, so by that criteria I would be a millennial for sure. And all of the stuff he wrote in the OP are things I remember well from my childhood/adolescence that my friends and classmates enjoyed.

I feel like being old enough to remember listening to people melting down over the possibilities of the "Y2K Bug" is a minimum prerequisite for being a Millennial

A millenial is someone who came of age at the turn of the century. Guy was 4 years old

There are people born every day who suck and will grow up to suck. It's been that way since man walked the earth. Doesn't matter what year range or month range you were born. This is much worse than the people who feel proud of certain famous people being from their area.

So you don't really ever remember a time before the internet or cell phones, which were fairly pervasive by early 2000s? I'd say that's quite a different childhood experience from someone born in 1985.

Technology just changed so much so fast. Some people might lump you in with millennials but I don't agree with it. Just my opinion though.

I will give you that 1996 is too late to be considered a millennial. Definitely not disputing that

How is 1996 too late to be considered a Millennial? Things like online console gaming and HDTV didn't become prevalent until around 2006.

1996 makes me feel better. I was born in 1982 and my childhood cartoons were Looney Toons plus Sesame Street and the Muppets. My cousin had cable so I also enjoyed Fraggle Rock at her house. Based on the stuff listed I thought I missed out on a ton of stuff from childhood.
