Same. 100% easier and safer. Anyone complaining about this is a dumb bitch. Doesnt slow others down any more than people backing out of a parking spot. Look at the wheel base of longer vehicles and you will understand why.

I don't mind it until you take about 30 seconds to a minute to park while people behind you are waiting.

in a vacuum, it's fine, but you shouldn't do it if somebody is behind you.

now what will really piss me off is when somebody is driving in front of you for a spot and the swing to the right into an open spot and then hits the breaks and reverses into a spot the left and lays on the horn because they almost hit you... after literally reversing in the lane of traffic.

woodchippers for those people

Because 90% of people who do this take 200-300% longer to park and I have to watch your stupid arse do this for a minute before i can move on down the lane so i can park.

So instead you want them to take 200-300% longer to back out

Versus not. Ever notice and what gives?
It's become performative, IMO.

It takes way longer for people to back into spaces - causing others to have to wait for the area to clear - than it does for people to back out of spaces. Backing in is much more an act of precision than backing out.

I hear the plant baw practice of being able to pull out quickly if there's an emergency or whatever. That's fine. But the median person in the median parking lot situation has a high-quality backup cam. Backing out into a parking lot is easy and is not fraught at all.

It also seems dumb to put your trunk/boot in a less accessible position if you are at the grocery store or whatever.

The trashiest people in the world always back into parking spaces

It’s literally the biggest indicator of human trash
