DST is over. We can all rejoice.

Why can't we get rid of this dumb system?

I prefer an early sunrise over a late sunset.

Also, the late sunsets encourage rowdy behavior later into the evening.

By 7 pm people should be settled for the night. If not, at least have the decency to not bother everyone else with your noise.

Doesn’t mean it’s right. During the summer I can get off work and get in 9 holes

Yes it’s so great. Get home from work and eat dinner and it’s too dark to: ride bikes, throw the ball in the yard, go for a walk without a flashlight, do 30 minutes of necessary yard work, etc. Some days I work “late” and it’s dark before even getting home. Unless you’re a vampire your not making any convincing argument that it’s a good thing.

Go for a walk at lunch. Exercise in the AM. Yard work on the weekends (after 8-9 am)

That other stuff would be possible in the summer if we left the clocks at standard time year round. Standard time is the normal time that's most aligned with everyone's circadian rhythm.

Standard time is so much better. It’s a joy to wake up now rather than fighting against darkness.

People somehow managed before DST was a thing. Standard time is much healthier for our normal cycles.

Next spring we should just go forward 30 minutes and call it good. Never change again.

I prefer Mother Nature Time. I never change clocks under my control when fake time starts.

It was standard to walk everywhere before taming mules/horses and standard to rely on mules/horses until the combustible engine. Humans evolve. It is way past time we evolve from the antiquated standard time.

Normal is only 1/3rd of the year, mercifully. People are more productive when it gets dark an hour later. Productivity is good.
