Getting rid of the neighborhood methadone clinic would probably be a good start.

The ones at Siegen were probably the ones who were moved from Sherwood & I12.

Few weeks ago there was a crackhead stumbling down the street. As in walking down the left lane heading south, stumbling into the middle lane as people went around him.
I strongly considered getting out my truck, knocking his arse out and leaving him out of the roadway so the rest of society can continue on with or normal lives.

Would you pay a tax dedicated to helping the homeless?

I wouldn't support any new taxes for anything. The state and EBR have wasted our tax dollars for decades. Why would I want to give them more? They get plenty, they just misuse it.

Also, the methadone clinic has to be huge part of the problem.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. I go down Siegan plenty of times and have dodged several crackheads playing chicken in traffic.
The article you linked doesn't say the dead guy was a panhandler.

In any case, the dead guy got the rare Double Tap Award. He was hit by TWO cars on Siegen.

When Pecue opens, the City will just move the problem to Pecue and let the Sheriff's Office deal with it. I sure wouldn't want to live in Woodridge or Briarwood when that opens.

It needs to be brought up at EVERY city council meeting. If you dont go to meetings then go to just bring it up. Make them scared it will be an issue. Too many cities are getting to the point that anyone can win running on just that platform

There’s a fool that does this every morning on Old Hammond right by the Racetrac. Runs from the side to the center divider and back as traffic is coming up on him. I’m surprised he’s lasted as long as he has. It’s almost like he’s doing exercise drills.

Why should you be bothered for running over a piece of trash in the road?

It has to be so bad on Siegen due to the methadone clinic on Rieger.

as long as there are no gas station/convenience stores or hotels built at the exit, they may be OK.

The I12 and sherwood exit is absolutely disgusting. There is currently a little tarp covered shanty built against the fence that separates the westbound I12 entrance ramp and the Circle K Exxon parking lot. There is trash everywhere, meth heads everywhere. Pisses me off everytime I pass.

I wonder how many have to be clipped by cars before the city/parish does something about it.

don't limit the clean up to Siegen. Get those nasty frickers off of college drive too. Albertsons, Wally, and that entire area is an affront.

BR has so little going for it, and the politicians are hell bent on making it shittier with all the disgusting homeless and panhandlers.
