I'm going to take this seriously.

No matter what trump says, this virus is deadly.

We need to keep working but use common sense.

Lots of things are deadly. Doesn’t mean we need to lockdown.

I'm not reading all of that.

But once Johns Hopkins took the politics of protesting over the health of humans, I was done with anything coronavirus related from them.
Clearly, they have an agenda that is above actual care of our health.

Say that, but the city of Houston looks to be first city to have another lockdown.

It’s so deadly, that the average age of death from COVID is older than the average age of death in general. For a virus that’s infected less than 1% of the pop and has about a 1% fatality rate.

Nope. Unless Governor Abbott orders a shutdown there is nothing the city or county can do to override his order. Nor should they. Houston or Harris County has a population of nearly 5 million people and there are less than 300 Covid deaths.

If they considering to opening a stadium for hospital beds you know things are getting serious. At the end of the day if businesses feel like things aren’t safe in the city they will temporarily close again. They won’t listen to the governor just because the rest of the state isn’t so bad.

Are you an OweO alter? You capitalize every word in your thread title like him and the sentence structure hurt my brain.

Can we get the death and hospitalization stats please? Thet are contact tracing and testing more people... hence getting identifying more asymptomatic and mild cases. People in this country really are dumb.

The case is that hospitalizations are the key stat since not overwhelming the hospitals was the entire reason

Won't happen I don't think. All this proves is that lockdowns were a bad strategy that completely failed. It doesn't matter how long you lock down. The virus will be waiting when you emerge. What do you think another lockdown will accomplish exactly?

It's all about the hospital beds until we're 2 months or so out from a real cure or vaccine.
