She did apologize back in 1992 I think. Very sincere “my bad”. The original agreement was violated by governor of Nova Scotia. This was more of a we can’t tell you neutral French from the québécois raiding parties.

On Hispaniola, the Taino population went from hundreds of thousands of individuals to around 200 in the 1500s.
We can go to the folks that the Acadians helped commit genocide against to temporarily procure Acadia for some more examples if you wish?

My grandmother was banned from school till she learned English. The non French made fun of the Cajuns and disrespected them. We lost our heritage due to oppression from the English. There is a reason the language died.

Well, to be clear, Canadians, Mexicans, and Brazilians live in America as well. Wouldn’t Louisiana still live in America if we still spoke Cajun French or even if we were our own independent country?
