Community college isn't a university.

They'll probably just increase price if enrollments stay down. It's all government cheese anyway.

Good. This will propel a quicker market correction as private universities that don't correct will fail and go away (as they should) and state universities will fall more in line with more practical policies and curriculums.

It’s funny how much it burns you up that so many people less educated than you are making so much more money. Sorry you don’t have what it takes to start a successful business. I’m sorry all you can do is crunch numbers, wear pants on the golf course, and not be able to consistently get laid.

Have you advised them that they are taking advantage of stupid people?

At least they won't be begging taxpayers to pay for their college costs, because university leaders took advantage of stupid people with overpriced tuition.

People have learned an awful lot over the last 10-20 years..

#1 The cost of attendance to a University is quite expensive.

#2 That cost may not necessarily translate to higher earnings, depending on the degree. Yes, you will end up with a much better educated adult... but.... really?

#3 Everyone isn't cut out for college....

#4 You can practically learn almost anything you want these days, through YouTube, google search, etc. Information is at your fingertips 24-7.

Yep. If they are truly "best," they will survive by evolving as necessary.
Many won't make it (and the ones that refuse to change should disappear)

many will be in far better shape than State universities due to endowments and the ability to capilalize.

What we Spend on education is out of whack with results. We need to remake the entire model and use what works.

sure you are. You work a kiosk in the mall peddling knockoff Invictas and shitty cellphone cases. I guess it must be your lunch break of Panda Express and a juiced Monster.

Additionally, I just saw an article from a large accounting firm saying the same thing.

Without reading any other posts, you sound like one of those bloated salaries that are about to get cut because this whole higher ed bubble is about to burst.

No sympathy for ya if you are.

I've worked at a uniy. 3/4 of the vice-chancellors of nose picking and their staffs could be eliminated and nothing would suffer.

I got an accounting degree and half the classes I took were fricking worthless. We need a major restructuring of higher education. You shouldnt have to go to school for 4 years when 2 of those years are just bullshite.

Which is why I advocate for people to take those classes at the local community college if you are worried about cost. Just do your last 60 hours or whatever at the university you want the degree from.

This is a good thing. Universities are basically liberal brainwashing institutions.

College is a scam. In no way did my college degree make me prepared for success in the business world aside from a rubber stamp saying I graduated.

I had all of the skills I needed after high school.
