I've been told I'm a pussy if I'm not. I don't want to be a pussy, I just can't seem to get any answers from you or anyone else on what exactly to do.

I love rogan but this has nothing to do with the first amendment. He isnt being prosecuted by the state on criminal charges.

This. I'm not necessarily on board with cancel culture but no one is getting arrested for saying words. Until that happens whatever.

The attack on Rogen is an attempt to show everyone that their cancel culture practices are effective.

They ultimately want laws against usage of whatever words they deem offensive. They literally want to outlaw words.

The White House publicly encouraged Spotify to control him. That’s about as close to the state prosecuting someone for speech as you are going to get.

The problem with your approach is the issue of what you do once the state starts making certain “misinformation” illegal. You can’t wait until that point because you are already muzzled.

You are essentially saying “I’ll speak up when it’s illegal to speak up”

They are trying their best to cancel Rogan.. why? Over the vaccine comments? Over his previous (small) support of trump?

Yet these musicians and politicians are fine with the fact that Spotify hosts music from R Kelly, Chris Brown, tekashi, etc?? Where does the line in the sand of morality get drawn? They can be on the same platform as human traffickers, rapists, and people who have been tied into murder, yet if someone has a different political opinion, that’s where the lines drawn?

It doesn’t make sense to me. Joe Rogan is a danger to our society, but that other trash isn’t?

Can someone smarter than me explain this?

Rogan has, for years, discussed the dangers of placating the mob and now he is stepping right into it.

Shame.

I think he will survive this, although I would love for him to start his own platform (which I think he will eventually), but I'm pretty disappointed with him removing the old episodes.

Not only are they controlling speech but they are changing speech. The combination of those two is what IMO makes this very dangerous.

“Math is racist”
Gender is different than sex
Invention of 1,235 pronouns
Etc.

They want to control speech and then change they meaning of what you say to achieve whatever goals they want.

It’s not just about stopping misinformation, and that’s a recipe for totalitarianism.

What strawman? You don’t even understand how to use that word.

I never said they have made it illegal. I said their actions are about as close to making it illegal as you can get.

What’s erroneous about that statement?

In addition, they are already making some speech illegal in Canada and the UK, and those are the governments the democrats want us to be more like. So let’s not act like this is a Q theory here.

So what exactly, in this situation, can someone do about it?

I have no idea

But I do know you can’t begin to do something if you don’t first acknowledge that it’s a problem. That’s why I’m speaking to people like mindbreaker who think it’s nbd.

As far as I can tell-
If you support free speech, Support Rogen and people like him.

I mean it's as simple as saying stop paying for Spotify if you don't like what they're doing to him. Or buy his merch if you want to support him, but it seems like he's caving according to OP and the most inflammatory posters here, so I'm not sure that would be a good idea.

I'm just illustrating how silly it is to be so angry over something you have so little input on. If you cancel your Spotify they won't blink an eye.

It's no coincidence the posters that are so mad in here couldn't come up with the simplest of answers.

multiple posters have given you multiple answers. but we all understand that no matter how simple and straightforward the answer, you don’t like the underlying discussion, thus you wag your finger about how it’s a waste of time and that our words on a internet discussion forum are dangerous, silly, and inflammatory.

rinse, repeat.
