I wish Spotify would rebrand itself

They can be the place where cancel culture fails
They allow anyone to express their artistic ability regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or political school of thought.
All schools of thought can be expressed in their own parts of the platform.
From diversity loving liberal to the racist nazi. The big government globalist to the anti government anarchist. The secular to the non secular. No words are disallowed. “All words are encouraged” can he the slogan..

Let that be known up front.

Then only those that refuse to allow their material on that platform will be the ones who are being closed minded.

Questions for you

Do you support the government censorship of words?
Do you believe that some words can be so harmful that they should be disallowed by law?

I am a words will never hurt me guy so no.

But I see how society is and has changed and that is one of the many ways.

That's what the people of America have become. It's not the government pushing the agenda, its the people.

But that means you gotta evaluate yourself along with others and this country doesn't do that anymore.

Except there was no mandated pre-market review of safety of drugs until 1938 with the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, and the modern system of approval didn't go into effect until the Kefauver Harris Amendment in 1962. You should read your link closer, specifically the chapter titled FDA and Clinical Drug Trials.

I didn't ask what Rogan should do, I asked what YOU should do other than be pissed off about it. The contention is that I should be mad because it affects me. You spent a lot of words not answering that still.

again, what you are trying to insert into this debate is entirely irrelevant and you’re just attempting to rile posters up. deflection.

I don’t think that’s true. Here the vast majority of people are against no-knock raids. Just look at the last thread. The few people defending it were trashed

How is it possibly irrelevant when posters like you insist we need to know about it? What possible good is knowing about it if there is nothing you can do about it?

How do you not get what a perfectly rational and sensible question that is?

Here's the truth. You know that there isn't a thing you can do about it but misery loves company. Y'all are pissed off as hell (and probably correctly so in principle) and most of the anger and frustration comes from instinctively knowing you can't do a thing about it. But instead of reflecting on that and finding some peace with it, it's a lot easier to vent online and try to find some companionship over it. Then when people point this out, it only increases the sense of frustration and anger.

I choose not to worry about shite that's totally out of my control as much as possible.

Hopefully you are correct.

Id be willing to bet the ones that were in favor of it are also on the same side as OP in this topic though.

The biggest risk we run as a society if free speech is abandoned is what happens when we can no longer use our words to come to peaceful and reasonable solutions to the problems we all face together.

Someone earlier was asking what anyone can do about it? Does anyone really want to go down that road? History tells us it’s incredibly nasty and brutish.

The country is already horribly divided with roughly half believing the last election was stolen and emotions are massively strained after the pandemic. Removing free speech now is like lighting a match in a room full of dynamite. Wars start that way.

If nothing else consider consider that without speech there is only force to decide right or wrong. Anyone who wants to live in a nation that operates that way has never experienced it themselves or is deluding themselves that they would be the ones in charge.

Not true. I have fired several of your types for their support of democrat causes such as BLM. I don’t give a frick if that makes me a hypocrite or not.

You want to play the game, let’s play.
