It had nothing to do with what you posted, though.

If you sell your soul for a World Cup, then devil will soon come to collect.

Somehow they managed to turn a penny into a dime. That's basically magic,

Farmers have been hoarding their crops for years because they retain their value better than the currency

Edit: I don’t mean the same crop for years, I mean holding on to them longer as an inflation hedge

Last month in Buenos Aires I had 2 14 Oz steaks ( cut by the waiter with a spoon) , a bottle of Malbec, salads, appetizers, vegetables, desert , coffee, tip for the waiter, for $51 US. You get currency on the street, not in the exchange places. It’s crazy.

I've got some cousins putting around down there. Might be time to visit them.

How much more were you getting on the streets? Was crime or safety an issue?

Google says official exchange rate is 220 pesos/dollar, but on the street more like 400 pesos/dollar.

So the work shown in the video is to sell a half a penny for a nickel, at best.

Seems like this happens about every ten years or so down there.

My math might be off, but that doesn't sound worthless to me. What am I missing? If I could sell Susan B's for $6, I think that would be a win.

You can sell pre 1965 quarters for about $4 each on metal value

I’m guessing it’s a thing to show how tender the steaks are. Like butter—you can get a pay with a knife or a spoon.

Or they melted down all the knives, Or government confiscated all the knives as weapons.
