These people are nuts. Instead of trying to hide they trained the students to throw rocks.
So instead of trying to hide from someone that is shooting people at random, let’s throw a rock at them so they know exactly where I am so they could shoot me. Makes sense to me.

Or for good behavior, teachers can reward their students with lightweight jackets lined with vacuum bags of mixed polyethylene glycol and precipitated CaCO3 to wear during class. But with the jacket comes the John Wick expectations of taking down the bad guy (+9 others).

They’re not going to be trained to go looking one by one for the shooter to take him out David and Goliath style. They’re saying if a shooter walks in the door, instead of sitting there waiting to die, everyone throw a rock at his head.
If you don’t think dozens of rocks flying at a shooter will reduce his effectiveness, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Since throwing rocks is in the top 10 of most obtuse of ideas, let me throw a possibility out there. Arm and train all teachers and staff that would like to be armed.
Announce that there are 3,000 armed in the county, or parish. When the media asks for a list of how many at each school are armed, tell them Nunya. Then a potential bad guy cannot be aware of how many at his potential target may take him out.
These school shooters are cowards and unstable. They will not attack a target that can end them.
