Horses and buggies in 2019. Shunning bitches who step out of line. No electricity. Blue and black clothes. No pictures. And those beards.

We take our horses to an Amish farrier and we hang out with their family occasionally. Super cool people, but I’ll never understand the limitations they put on themselves.

Rules are rules..

It's like they are living in an unwalled monastery or something.

I know what you’re saying, but parenting is the answer, not switching off the main breaker forever.

I always liked the movie the Village. That whole scenario fascinates me.

They are far from lazy, always helping their neighbors, not corrupted or influenced by a degenerate culture, have strong family units, eat better as they grow their own foods for the most part, and live a significantly less complicated life. I’m not so sure they’re the weirdos. Maybe, we are.

Yeah. They made the fireless fireplace that produces heat. They're pretty badass.

You’ve never been to Lancaster, Pa because no one ever confused it with paradise.

If the Amish lived in the 9th Ward, it would’ve been completely rebuilt a month after Katrina.

I used to travel and stay in southern Iowa and visit their farms and stores all the time. Saw 1 good looking Amish chick one time selling homemade bread at a little stand on the side of the road. She was super hot. As I walked away from the stand I turned around and could see her legs under the table she was sitting at. Black skirt and it showed about 3" of her legs and they were hairy AF

What I never understood is how they decided which technological point to stop at. They seem to be fine with some things that are machines like wagons and such, but apparently not motors. If you're going to shun technology, shouldn't you go all the way?

Did they pick a year and say nothing that was invented after this year will be used?
