Congrats baw! It does get lonely from time to time but the freedom is unbeatable.
IDK I'm single and I've been in relationships since I was 16 and I'm not lonely. I date a lot, I pursue hobbies, hang out with friends. I decided a while ago that I wasn't getting into a relationship again.

We can't have a conversation about this on TD, but you need to talk to someone, it's not OK. I've been swimming in that for years, even when I was married. It's corrosive as all get out.
On the plus side, you could get on some dating apps, try meeting chicks, and go, "Oh yeah, it's definitely better to be alone than deal with this sh1t."

My last relationship went south after covid hit and it's been nice. Haven't once considered getting back in a relationship yet.

The ability to call up a frick buddy based on what vibe, looks, and body type I want that day is..

An experience like yours will make you learn more about yourself and more about the true nature of women than all the years before. I don’t just mean the divorce, I mean the post divorce. What you do with that knowledge will determine your future. A common mistake is rushing into a second marriage. Women do this by their nature, but men really shouldn’t. Take your time. Stay off the dating sites. Don’t get involved in a dysfunctional relationship just because it feels familiar. Don’t let a woman “ trap” you. Lean on friends. Enjoy your second act.

Was going to comment on this as well but stopped myself.100% agree. Will piggy back and say it's completely the individual. I've been single and I've dated, the feeling doesn't go away based on us following what society said is correct

You can get sucked off by the Mamasan and your Tinder Date on the same night and not have to wash your dick.

Disagree. Having a fire alarm frick buddy isn't good for you trying to be a decent companion. I will caveat this saying that it's not healthy for either party to view partners as "on call" or disposable after a certain age. Men need to grow up for a reason.

I see your point and I do say it tongue in cheek. I'm also perfectly capable of being a good companion even if it's with someone just for fun. These are friends I go to events with and do activities. I take the friends with benefit seriously

Drink straight from the milk carton and not have to dirty a glass. You can leave the toilet seat up. You don't hafta worry about somebody hoggin the bed cover. The list goes on and on...

If you find a woman who brings you peace, she is priceless. Most westernized women are programmed not to bring peace, but chaos. In that case, it’s better to be alone.

I get it. I'm probably considerably older than you. Women are a huge problem (insert 500 pages of comments here), but men only do what gets them laid, as long as it gets them laid. Ghost people on dates and still get laid two days later, they'll keep doing it. Etc.

I hope these chicks are under 30, because no chick that is mature buys into this shite, with few exceptions, they're just dealing with it to get the Lawnmower D.

I had the house to myself for a week recently. The one thing I most enjoyed was playing movies on the home theater as loud as I wanted.

You have this up your arse to a great degree. They have advantages, but please explain to me why this is a generally good choice for newly single men that need to establish boundaries, etc.?

If you are broke, bald, and old you may as well be married

Life is short. The most valuable thing in the world isn't money, gold, and nice shite, it's time. I was 18 at spring break and blinked and now I'm 50. Years pass like months, life is short. If your not happy then she probably isn't either. Hit the road jack! I know it sounds good and all but it's not that easy

Love my wife and have nothing to add except that I also do this when she's not home and it's glorious. Also playing my guitar turned up to rock star volume.
