Definitely. My son was really scared of rollercoasters when we went so I was praying he’d at least do some because we were there for like 5 or 6 days. We did the log ride and he had fun so then went and did space mountain and he had a blast. From there the fear was broken and we rode every single ride in all of the parks. I think Mt Everest was our favorite, we rode it 7 or 8 times

My wife said that she will buy them at Cast Connection in a month for $1. Disney does not allow her to re-sell for a profit. Maybe she would give a couple to me. I am not a cast member.

ETA: Tell me, Little Downvote queers. What in the blue hell is the matter with this post?

Plus I don’t know how people support a company that put profits over peoples LIVES and reopened only four months after covid initially hit.

Walt Disney World reopened to the public Saturday morning nearly four months after closing due to the widening coronavirus pandemic.

While the park's reopening may imply that the worst of the pandemic has passed, the opposite appears to be true. Its reopening coincided with a sharp increase in new infections in the Sunshine State. On Friday, the Florida Department of Health reported 11,433 new cases for a total of 244,151. Of the statewide total, 182,000 have been reported since June 5, about a week after Disney World announced its reopening date.

The food is the main reason I agree to go. They have some great restaurants out there. Overpriced as frick, but at least I get a quality meal for the money.

Not only have the weird Disney adults made trips to the park miserable with their mere presence, overly long lines, and fat scooters, they are also a big reason that trying to take your kids on a trip costs as much as a 2 week trip to Europe. These losers create the insane demand that allows Disney to price gouge. $1,200 a night for a damned hotel room if you want something comparable to a Marriott. $400 a night for Hampton Inn level.

It sucks trying to take a small kid to Disney and knowing that you’re standing in a hours long line for a kid ride like small world because of a bunch of adults are on it for their 1000th time that season. When we last went to Epcot, the spaceship earth ride took nearly 45 minutes to get off the damned ride because they kept stopping the continuous motion so that fat asses could transfer from scooter to ride and Vice versa.

There are some real cringe comments in here (people criticizing Disney adults). That stuff is no different then spending money on watching football.

That said, I loathe the idea of going to Disney with kids. I’ve thus avoided going with my kids but I get the sense we’re going next fall break. My wife is pushing for it hard.

Contrast with the people who came to this land 400 years ago. It's truly a different species.

I don’t think Mary Jo from Kansas is wasting 6 hours of her expensive vacation, trying to get a popcorn bucket.

No doubt. It was mostly made up or local annual passholders, cast members, memorabilia collectors and a shite ton of people who's only intent was to resell them on eBay and marketplaces.

Just do not use a gas powered stove to make your popcorn. Mother Jones it said was bad.

Disney is the most miserable place on earth packaged as a vacation destination

It certainly CAN be, but that's up to the traveler in large part.

I have been there more times that I care to admit (and my wife and daughter [no pics] have gone 2 more times without my son and me for cheer competitions).

It's all about having a plan and knowing what you're doing. If you just show up and wander around, chances are you will be miserable because you will wait, for everything.

Thankfully, the missus is an insane planner and out trips have been pretty seamless and fun. Very little waiting for anything and able to do a lot in a day. While I have likened it to a forced march at times, and while I would have preferred to have gone somewhere else, we have always had fun - even as our kids got older (started when they were 3 and 2 and last went when they were 16 and 17).

How are these people and different than all us knuckleheads that post on a sports board? These people just like Disney and not sports. What is the big deal?

Plus, this time, the wife and I will be childless while we are there. One daughter will be with her teammates, and the other is old enough to go anywhere by herself.

Dude, you don't know how to keep yourself entertained with your wife when you are on vacation, with a school aged child-free, empty hotel room in the middle of the day? Any place that creates that environment would be "Magical".
