You either got to bump this thread, or start a new one to give us updates when they come.
Early bump.
One of his kids, a 15 year old girl, has been posting Instagram pics of herself drinking beer in a bikini with older guys (flipping the bird) at the Chatahoochee river with the quote “Happy Thanksgiving Dad!”
This is not going to be fun. I normally love reading these threads but being the one giving the play by play is not as enjoyable.
I just want a normal turkey dinner.

Hosted my husband’s family for Thanksgiving. My sister in law brought a cheeseball and crackers. His aunt brought fruit salad and we provided everything else. All 12 of them are coming back Saturday night to watch the game. Sister in law declares that we order pizza and we can ALL pitch in for the cost. I just poured another glass of wine and smiled. I know, be thankful damn it.
This was my post from last year. FTR, not a damn one of them pitched in for the pizza!
To add to the pizza madness, we ordered two of those huge party pizzas and salad. My BIL asks, “How much did this pizza cost, $25?” To which his daughter replies, “Dad, they’re three times the size of a regular pizza. Do you still think they cost $25 each?”

Guests haven't even arrived and you're already giving solid updates. Off to a great start.

Decided to try one of the Popeye's Cajun Turkeys this year. Just finished preparing the sweet potato casserole and broccoli rice casserole. In the morning the bird goes in the oven. Finish the preparing of relish tray, stuffing, cranberry sauce and Sister Schubert rolls. Luckily here in Florida we can gather and celebrate.

FIL just got out of the hospital Sunday from Covid and the doctor says he is no longer contagious, so it appears to be on.
They are having it at his Church Gym, so everyone can spread out more. No football watching for me and I got to stay after while the wife cleans the place.

At least I'm not you.

I just got to deal with my Cousin Eddie BIL who smells like a smoke stack. It appears my niece (on wife side) is separated again from her loser husband, so I may get to avoid him. Though Holidays do seem to bring them back together.

Today is the annual “my wife gets mad because she is stuck at my parents house with my mom watching our kids and helping my mom prep while I go hunting with my Dad and bro” day.

Some things are worth having your wife mad at you for

Man, that just makes me sad.
They've been this way since March.
They come over & stand in the middle of the front yard. Their grandkids can't come within 10 feet of them.
No one is allowed in their house.
The incoming mail is quarantined to the garage for three days before they open it.
When they shop for groceries it's during off peak hours & they spray everything that they buy.
On Sunday, my SiL & her husband were cracking jokes about their behavior but, forgot the windows were open. Made for a real awkward situation.

Honestly...good. They need to hear how ridiculous they're being. Visiting their grandchildren only to not allow the kids to be in contact with them is pretty fricked up IMO

His parents will get mad, but if a kid does this to you.. As an adult, you have a right to correct them.
It drives me insane when a parent doesn't correct their kid or just let them go on while they ignore them. I have corrected a kid a few times only because I know how it will end up. The parent will get mad and either leave out the room taking the kid or finally telling the kid to come to them.. And they will be a little salty about you saying something.. But at least it takes care of the problem

Might not be the worst thing that they overheard your SIL. At least it didn’t have to come from you
But people are just letting life pass them by. It’s too short to stand in the corner. They basically just lost a year of their life hiding.
