Honestly, if you can't hold your liquor without dying, Greek life just isn't for you.

Join the rest of the GDI scourge.

A corpse CANNOT pay dues, dumbasses. In fact, a corpse will cost you a charter at the least and likely end up with you getting a BBC up the arse.

Yeah, sure that kid dying after we made him do some dangerous shite sucks but man losing money in those dues, the charter and and spending a few days in jail sucks even worse.

Like, I'm just chuckling my arse off at how tone deaf this statement is and it's a good example why it's not going to be a complete shock when frats eventually get banned for good.

How fricking dumb are these kids? They don't see this happing across the country and think "hey maybe we should be more careful"? Especially when they're under investigation already?

Fraternities would be wise to remove alcohol from the pledgeship/hazing process. It can be just as rough without the risk of a pledge dying. Not that it needs to be just as rough, but that's gonna be tough to change in the short term.

You must not have been in a fraternity; drinking permeates everything a fraternity does. If you can't handle that, it's not for you.

This has been the GDI's wet dream for decades. It will never come to fruition. Too many industry leaders understand the benefit of Greek life. Just because you missed your shot at it, don't hold a grudge.

I'll say it.

If drinking permeates everything a frat does, to the point where people expect it to be bad enough where kids of lower constitution could die, then fraternities are not for America.

My daughter told me that boys are dumb. She might be right. I've not heard about sororities doing this.

These kids don’t do shite in high school except maybe smoke a little weed. Then they get to college with unlimited freedom and don’t know how to handle themselves.

Absolutely a tragedy that two men have died, but they are obviously the rare exception; how many students pledge each year? This knee-jerk reaction from GDIs is about what I would expect from liberals (likely the majority of the GDI base).

First of all why don't you grow the frick up and quit harping on the Greek vs GDI thing? Then and only then can we have an intelligent discussion with you where we don't feel like we're talking to an 18 year old punk freshly initiated and all full of fraternity piss and vinegar. I picture you all decked out in your Greek letters right now.

Not if he wants to shoot under 100. I cut my pre-shot routine back to about 12 or so

This. I pledged back in 1990. Shite, hazing was still alive and well back then. However, you never heard of deaths from hazing back then.

The people that still care about that remind me of the people still trying to live up their high school football glory days by wearing their letter jacket.

Dying after 18 drinks in 90 minutes isn't a "can't hold your liquor lol" thing, it's a "human" thing. Frats shouldn't be pushing the boundaries of life and death with alcohol poisoning.
