Tell us what you think should happen to people who are guilty of horrendous crimes like this? I'm seriously curious.

There is zero recidivism when it occurs.

The "government's job" is set out in a statement of purpose in its founding document. You should look it up sometime.

Especially the little part that says state governments are allowed to have their own founding documents and enforce their own laws.

If God had spoken directly to his associate, would it have been Heavens to Murgatroyd?

Life in prison, the same as every other industrialized country in the world. The list of countries that still has the DP is like us, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and North Korea. Great company to be in

Why don't you compare the application of it in those countries vs ours, disingenuous.

I’m supposed to applaud that we don’t chop peoples heads off in the town square/national stadium? That’s how the low the bar is?

Which part is concerning to you? That they got the verdict wrong or that he "might" feel something while being put down?

Lol @ downvoters. I’m always amazed by these “small government” types, who don’t trust the government to administer a food stamp program, but somehow do trust it to carry out executions of its citizens.

ever think the downvotes are coming from people just not liking you, not necessarily this specific post? Look at Oweo posts for example: i downvote them without even reading them most of the time.

So you’re saying TD is full of NPCs who don’t want to consider perspectives outside their own and will lash out at those who challenge them to do so? Interesting stuff, I hadn’t considered it but you may have a point.

I get the point if the execution is carried out without the conviction containing 100% concrete evidence, but in this case the guy admitted guilt. Fry him

If he didn't want to die, he ought not be strangling people.

No. You're dense. What sort of crimes is it being applied to the US vs those other countries.

When due process is given, you're found guilty by a jury, your appeals are exhausted, you're damn right I'm ok with it.

When you have to face the same kind of scrutiny for food stamps, then I'll be better with that, too.

Was this not a jury trial. Can you have a capital case in Texas without it being a jury trial?
