And yet the bad outweighs the good to the point where your state is 49th. I bet Mississippi has a good school somewhere in there too.

How do the poors who are sending their kids to public school have an affect on me? I don’t care what their education is.

Louisiana has very shitty areas, but also has good areas. They don’t have to be lumped together.

It’s undoubtedly better for some career paths. It just doesn’t affect my family. I live in Lafayette, but my company is based out of Nashville, my income would be unchanged regardless where I live. My wife is a healthcare provider, she makes similar money to her friends who live in Texas.

I could make more money in a few expensive metros but my standard of living might very well be overall lower.

Louisiana's largest two cities have huge private school populations and almost half of the state's population lives in those 2 metros. If we include Lafayette too it's well over half.

You are the moron who was trying to compare it to the shithole state to the East. I guess you have gotten over that stupid shite and are now moving the goalposts once again to include massachusets, new jeresey, new hampshire, etc. You are a total idiot.

if you actually read that post, you'd see i'm not doing that at all. i'm simply adding some perspective to this thread.

1. Nobody said it impacted you.

2. You don’t care what their education is, yet your bro in here is arguing that the education in Louisiana is adequate and comparable to the systems in Texas. If your tax dollars support a school system, you better care how it’s going to supplement the education in your area. Me personally? I don’t want to live around idiots. They tend to do stupid things, like kill each other.

Perspective doesn’t need to be added. This is about Louisiana and Texas.

That's what I find funny. Idiots are paying twice for an education that may still be substandard and seem to be proud of the fact. fricking Louisiana fricks the morons up. As long as they are happy I guess, more power to them. Dumb people lives matter even in Louisiana.

Which school inside of the loop do you send your kids to?

Nobody said Texas didn’t have shitty schools. This thread has morphed into comparisons.

The crappy Texas schools are much better than crappy LA schools.

The problem is, your state is full of poverty. It’s reared it’s ugly hear throughout Louisiana.

I also didn’t know that someone being poor made them a piece of shite.

again, why would i or anyone who is middle or upper middle class care? it doesn't affect me.

and the us census bureau shows there's only a 3.5% difference in poverty rate between texas and Louisiana. it's a pretty negligible difference.

I’m gonna guess that if you are in good shape, and the rest of your state sucks, it’s still a bad look for the state.

This is about Louisiana and Texas, not you.

Aren’t you a male nurse in Massachusetts, by way of Michigan? Aren’t you the guy who started a thread discussing a civil war between the Southeast and Texas? You didn’t start attending LSU games until 2010, so I assume you are young.

Let’s get to the root of the problem. You have a strong dislike for Texas. You constantly suggest that none of the things mentioned impact you, but you have much negative energy directed to the west of the Sabine.

This isn’t about schools, or infrastructure, or culture. For some reason, this is very personal to you. Considering the fact that you are a Yankee, I can see the picture more clearly now.

I love Louisiana. It has many warts created by years of screwups. It’s unfortunate that some people want to cover those warts and lie about the condition of the state (you) instead of fix it.

no i don’t. I lived in Dallas for a couple years and it was fine, but someone has to set the record straight with you people. Texas is a mediocre state at best.

That's not true.

The frick it's not.

You can travel from Kenner to Chalmette and hear different accents if you're not deaf.

Just like every place else in the south, you've got some backwoods hold outs and old people that hang onto a certain sorta dialect but otherwise, not really. Those days are pretty much over. It's the same way in the Ozarks.

Neutral ground. Break tag. Makin' groceries.

That's bullshite. Everybody in south Louisiana eats the same shite.

What are you trying to prove? How much of an idiot you are?
