No one put a gun to their head and forced them to break the law. In fact, looks like all they had to do was be patient. So you'll excuse my lack of sympathy.

As for the smell, we really need to bring back smoking and nonsmoking areas. Been in a legal and recreational state for a while and it's annoying as frick. People don't smoke the good shite because it's too expensive, so they smoke the nastiest skunk you can imagine. And they do it everywhere because they're trashy.

Eventually you will understand

I wonder if this will make it through.

Hell, we still have dry counties! I can’t imagine those counties want weed.

The fact that some people think that anyone who smokes little weed, doesn’t hurt anyone while doing it belongs in prison is mind boggling .

Now if you commit a crime for the weed or hurt someone while high…

Hopefully Abbott will veto it. Weed should be illegal 100%. It is a degenerate practice that does nothing to contribute to society. Look at the paradises where it is legal: Seattle, Portland, Denver, SF, etc. Notice a pattern?

The full House of Representatives has already passed similar cannabis decriminalization proposals during the past two legislative sessions, in 2021 and 2019.

But so far the proposals have consistently stalled in the Senate amid opposition from Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R), who presides over the chamber.

I’ll pay quite a bit not to smell that shite.

It smells like shite. Just like cigs. Just like alcohol.

Yes, considering the loser kids that most people have.

Decriminalizing is just a baby step to take away the negative connotation. Allowing people to grow it themselves or generate profit from farms and from dispensaries is legalizing it.

Should do that also. The tax revenue is worth it. Tax it and use the tax revenue for something worthwhile.

It’s a cash cow
It puts the locals in business
It hurts the cartels

If you are older than 25 and still putting coke in your whiskey it's time to reassess

Not sure if this is sarcasm, but I fully agree. It is all a progression of moving toward a society without morales.
