9th grade.
These kids are learning these attitudes from their parents.
Do a better job, adults.

Is this really surprising when we have a new blockbuster movie every year about slavery, and on the now “holiday” of June 19, all the major television stations show specials depicting slavery in very poignant and disturbing ways?
I grew up in the 90s, and slavery was a topic I only encountered as part of my education in history and social studies courses.
Kids today are bombarded with slavery at seemingly every turn. It’s no wonder race relations have gone to shite since Obama took office.

I don’t disagree. Most of society’s issues these days can be squarely placed on poor parenting. BUT, to his point the media has driven and will continue to drive the race and class division in this country.
This. While a child's actions are often due to the parenting or the lack thereof, there is also a degree of culpability to media, be it MSM or social media, and the constant beratement.
The media, politicians, and the left are all in on the "white man bad" narrative. This is not really shocking to anyone. So when there is a pendulum swing in the other direction, you can't act surprised. However, it is also the parents responsibility to tell their kids, "you are not at fault for the ills of everyone else. You are responsible for yourself, and yourself alone. You are not bad because of what you look like. Ignore the race peddlers, live a good life, be a good person, and treat others the way you want to be treated."
It's ironic, that the mindset of "ignore race, treat others the way you want to be treated" and good parenting, can be applauded by some of the more leftist posters, and also condemned for not being "woke enough".
In short, it's a clown world, expect clown results.

Of course they’re racist. My point is they’ve been conditioned from birth to believe they’re racist. They’ve been taught that they are inherently bad and we’re born into a system that’s inherently bad. This is particularly true for young white males because on top of being brainwashed into believing anything to do with being white is bad, they’re also taught their very nature as a male is “toxic masculinity”. Again, as I said, if you bring up a child trying to convince them they’re a monster, don’t be surprised when they believe you.
So it's a "well I'll show them!" mentality? Prove them right?
Again, this goes back to a lack of parenting.

ETA: another thing these kids are being taught that’s different from past generations is race awareness. While we were taught to look past race and treat everyone the same, kids nowadays are taught to see race in everything. 30-40 years ago, we didn’t care about race. Kids today are obsessed by race because they’ve been taught to be that way. And worse they’re taught that if you’re one race, then you get certain privileges while if you’re another race, you’re bad and what’s wrong in the world.
A lot of people believe the push for "equality" didn't work. And so now, they are trying this.

And those people are called opportunists.
We've gone from mostly achieving in American society, King's dream "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" to "oh you're judging us by our character? That's racist that you're ignoring our skin color".
It's absurd and asinine. Anyone that promotes this sort of racist woke-ism and somehow thinks hyper-racism such as black liberation theology is intended to bring together a nation, is likely a leftist Democrat and most assuredly a racist and a moron.

The mob wouldn't even have to come for my kid, I'd beat the every living crap outta them for that.

If this story was black kids snap chatting about which white kids are the least racists, they’d go from excusing and blaming (media, politicians) to blaming these kids parents or lack of.
Can you show me when this has happened? You can't, because it would never be news.
It doesn't seem like posters are saying the parents share no blame. Just arguing that what we see everyday from the news, from sports, from social media, hell from Disney, is that white people are bad and that it's having an effect on kids too.

Stop pretending this shite just started happening over the last 10-15 years. They’ve been happening for decades.

Stop being disingenuous. A few turds taking bad pictures is NOT the national movement of hyper focus on slavery we’ve had the last 10 years or so. It has permeated all facets of life in this country and racial unrest is as bad as it’s been in my life.

I didn't say anything about slavery or any national movement. I'm talking about ignorant people being racist, or at the very least racially insensitive. These incidents are nothing new. I could dig up hundreds of them over the past 30 years. They'll continue happening as long as you all keep making excuses for them and blaming it on anything other than their racism.
Posted on 4/14/21 at 9:21 am to Lincoln Dawson
This is not a "sign of the times" or anything. Teenagers have always done stupid crap.
This was just dumb for dumb's sake, though. I would just as upset at my kid for this because it a truly stupid way to bring heat (and possibly an arse whipping) on yourself.

No, they'll continue happening because human beings are a broken and flawed species and we'll see isolated instances of people doing and saying shitty things from now until the end of time.
That doesn't mean racism should be excused. It just means that systematically "educating" society into not being racist will never work. It will actually have the opposite effect. MLK had the right idea. And it was working. This BLM shite is a cancer that is taking us backwards.
Go to any country in the world. Literally any country. You will find racist people. I promise you. It's not an American flaw. It's a human flaw. Always will be. The best remedy is good, morally upright parenting.

That is how a lot of white Americans felt about MLK during his time as well.
I agree with you that we will never eradicate racism. It's an inherent human trait. We can call it out for what it is when racist incidents happen though, like this one, instead of making lame excuses for the racists and blaming their racism on other external factors.
