Worst clock of all time.

looks like a timing michanism for a bomb. close enough that obomba invited him to the WH to praise his efforts.

I imagine at some point, and probably pretty quickly, they realized it wasn't a bomb and moved on to trying to figure out why the little turd thought it was cute to bring in a bomb like "clock."
And having a minor arrested and questioned without his parents was fine?

So many falsehoods up in this thread.
Just watched an interview on WAFB with a fellow student from the school. In short, he said Ahmed, was 'always making things out of electronics and bringing them to school to show others...doorbells, phone chargers, all kids of stuff'. "Everybody in the school knew that's what he did".
SO, no it was not his first day of school And this was not just some kid coming out of nowhere with what he meant to fool others into thinking it was a bomb. Even teachers knew he made things from electronics.

Going by your college grade typing skills I wouldn't be surprised if you thought an apple was a timing mechanism. Hold the fort down tight.

Isn't he a freshman at a NEW school that just started classes in the last two weeks?

That's a terrorist my friend, not a child. No child can build an advanced circuit board like that at 10 years old.
And we're going to send him to MIT.
In ten years he'll be working on the real thing for ISIS.

A kid just got 6 months in prison for putting a rope on a statue. I dont feel sorry for this Muslim clock builder going to the White House.

He is. Four weeks. Just read he transferred schools. And the idiot school still has his clock.
Edit: they still have his bomb.

I doubt the teachers knew. It's a high school with 2800 students in a district with 20 schools. It was his first day at this school. Talking to a kid he went to middle school with doesn't prove teachers at a different school knew him.
The attention this kid is getting after being "scared straight" is hilarious. People like you claim he was treated a certain way because of his skin color and religion. A lot of irony here.
Posted on 9/18/15 at 7:26 am to GRTiger
Not once did I say or imply he was treated that way because of his color or ethnicity. You made an assumption and it was incorrect.

You haven't been very accurate in this thread so far. The police station has his device and they have publicly stated that he may come down and pick it up.
Why do you think his father is threatening legal recourse against the school district since they are only following mandated policy thrust upon them by social justice warriors?

Many people like you have. You are very racial on this site. I made no assumptions.

When I was at UNO in the '80s, every freaking graduate assistant in the physics labs was a Middle Easterner. Is it like that at LSU nowadays, or was it back then?

Judging by some of the intelligence in this thread it seems like only those of middle eastern descent know electronics. There was a time when it was expected that kids tinker with this sort of stuff. That generation landed people in the moon using paper and slide rules.
Now a kid makes a homemade clock using his knowledge of electronics and we arrest him.
Seems par for the course of where we are headed.

"Going by" sounds sort of high schoolish to me. Try again. Oh, and go brush your tooth.
