the briefcase would not fit in his locker, if there are even lockers in the school?
and if they thought it was a bomb, why did they not evacuate? Why did they leave it in the room with the boy and cops? ANd do you really think the media would not pick up on this and blow it up?

This thread really does make me question the ludicity of the board.
I love the people googling images and juxtaposing real bombs with the fake clock. Because if somebody were to bring a bomb to school it would have acme stamped all over it and look like bombs you see in movies. Mimicry is the number one goal in bomb making!

In your paranoid opinion, you think they were right. Maybe it went off like a clock might. Maybe he set it to go off to be funny and show his project off while not meaning it to be a bomb hoax. Certainly more plausible than the Ahmed-Media, Muslim-Obama plot.

If it was the size of a pencil case, then all those pics of the briefcase by the paranoid are fake. Is he in middle school or high school? Many middle schools do not have lockers. Maybe it was in his backpack, keeping it under wraps like told.
