If this is the case, we should have national security seize the Arduino site for supplying both parts and circuit layouts for devices that function like detonators. I mean look at this one that detonates a "light bomb". While seemingly harmless, if you're too close it could hurt your eyes for like 30 seconds! It's one thing not to understand technology and even fear it, but this was just taking it a step too far.
I'm sorry, but everyone who visits a local Radio Shack should immediately be put on a watch list. Just like those that check out Catcher in the Rye from the library.

I think he's looking at that pouch inside the case. It's actually a patterned pouch that could be anything, but at first it looks like a clear bag with ball bearings.

This "child" is either a victim of racial profiling or a brilliant terrorist in training. Only time will tell.

That's exactly what I thought it was. I just zoomed in saw it was a handkerchief or something

You have been on the line, but this kid is just darker skinned who prays to a different prophet than you do. I'll never say you aren't entitled to your opinion because you have seen stuff I will never see.
Walk around any major college campus and see who are the top math/engineering students. A lot are Muslims and they want to be here, not from the shitholes they and their parents come from.

I haven't mentioned his race at all. I'll profile on occasion I admit but I don't profile children. I honestly thought that was a bag of ball bearings laying the briefcase.

It's pretty unfair to automatically assume race. This was the first day of school at a new school for him, right? So none of these teachers were aware of little Einstein's interest in "inventing" new gadgets like clocks. I'd expect them to be suspicious of any kid they didn't know bringing thar crap to school on the first day to show off.
Don't most nerds try to avoid being noticed the first day of high school? This dude wanted start his HS career off with a bang.
Yes, it was.

Can we stop calling this thing a clock? He didn't build a clock,he built a fake bomb and slapped a clock on it and brought it to school.
How many bombs plug into a wall via a surge protector? Now, how many clocks plug into the wall?
People like you are the reason Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden is going to be the next president.
frick!

His race is genetically no different than yours or mine.

I can see that, but it wasn't the case. He will be an engineer or a doctor at some point doing good things. Meanwhile, people who hate anyone looking different or believing different can continue to fall behind.

Well good for him. We need more doctors and engineers. But it looked like a bag of mass casualty ball bearings in there. That's what threw me off

Is he Muslim and dark skinned? This whole issue is hilarious at the overreaction.
He'd have definitely caused a stir if he'd have brought something like that to school in the modern atmosphere, regard less of race.
But it would never have happened, because even in 1981, home-made clocks weren't the size of a fricking laptop.
The muzzie PR machine is so good at using liberalism against itself. It would not surprise me at all if this was staged.

We are fricked for so many more reasons than this kid. Chrysler announced all production going to Mexico. We have quit making shite, Roman Empire destruction in about 100 years. I'll be out, but it fricking bums me out.
Posted on 9/17/15 at 8:37 pm to blueboy
It was a project and nothing more. Are we allowed to have more than Christian and Jewish religions here? I understand that Muslims are over the top, but construing anything more here is way off.
I'm not liberal, I am not conservative. I'm human.

I wonder if Obama's SS detail will thoroughly inspect whatever sweet gadget this kid brings with him on his visit. Seems racist and insensitive to put him through all that, don't you think?

To you it looked like that. To me it looked like a rag or something in a bag. ANd that is what it appears to be after zooming in.
