It’s a corporate powerhouse and is the reason why Texas has a GDP of over $1 trillion

Nothing like shaming a bunch of people who want better career opportunities than what’s being offered in their home state

Strange mix of snooty old oil rich MF'ers and hood rats. I grew up near Vail, CO and we all hated Texans cuz all we ever saw was those rude frickers from Dallas. Ended up in TX for school and have never left, cuz I love the state and the people, but I still hate Dallas.

Solid logic

Are you really going to commute an hour and a half?

If so, then
Glen rose, Texas is what you seek.

How would Houston be any better

Um… what?

If the average person in Austin is an upper middle class liberal driving a Subaru (is that what live drive) in their 20s and the average person in San Antonio is a blue collar Hispanic driving a pick up then the average person in Houston is a white 20s-30s bro that dresses like Mac Miller and drives a BMW and the average person in Dallas wears Patagonia vests and button downs and drives a Range Rover or Tesla or Mercedes.

Why this Louisiana board is so fascinated by Dallas and Houston is beyond me.

Even Austin is better and has more soul, it’s just way too expensive. The real Texas living is outside of any of these cities. San Antonio is ok but even that is too big now.

Because when your escape-the-rural metro is New Orleans, you look at the next closest spots.

Isn't it the chain restaurant HQ capital of the world? To me that's its identity. I think Raising Cane's tried to quietly move its operations there. But we don't talk about that.

I have nothing to add to this thread other than Uncle Julio’s and Mi Cocina both suck donkey balls. I live in the suburbs (Southlake) and we can get much better food than that garbage. Mesero and Mi Dia are two of my local favorites.

Dallas is such a huge city you need to specify what part for its identity. Trinity Grove, Deep Ellum, Lakewood, Lake Highlands, etc. all have their own identity
