Correct. Didn’t even think of that. Tesla brakes last forever because of the regenerative braking system. Huge plus.

The bumper is glued on. Lol. I know whistlindesiel is abusing vehicles way more than I would. But the bumper is held on by glue. Thats crap. Sorry not sorry.

If we're talking Tesla, it also doesn't update without wifi.
But per Tesla's website:
Can I cancel a software update once it begins? How do I resume when I am ready?
You cannot cancel a software update once it has started the install phase.

ICE consume more energy at idle than EVs. If you're in an evacuation situation you're going to be stuck in a lot of traffic and the ICE engine is running to just keep the HVAC, steering, and electrical running and will consume fuel at a higher rate than the EV will deplete the battery.

Single vehicle household I agree. Multi-vehicle most would be fine with 1 EV and 1 ICE or hybrid. We have 1 EV, 1 ICE and 1 mild hybrid. Works out well for us.

I feel like the build quality and NVH have improved dramatically.
My neighbors 2025 is really well done, and panel gaps are tight.
Still some minor issues with frunk closure, but overall much better.
Is it up to German standards?
No, but it isn't in that price range, either.

No, but it isn't in that price range, either.
It's gotten better in the newer ones, especially the gen 2 highland versions. I've still seen some dry shot in non-exposed panels and they're notorious for not having enough and weak fasteners on interior panels. Part of the noise issues is how quiet they are. I know my mustang is a rattle box but i can't hear it over the exhaust and blower whine. I notice a lot more when i drive my wife's car. My biggest Model 3 complaint is the center screen with no dash or HUD. It just doesn't work well for me.

If you owned a car pre C19, the ONLY correct response was a 4D Buick sedan. Not sure why, but dang, they were quiet on the highway drives.

I only ever drive our 250 at the ranch and the lease roads make it squeak and rattle all over the place. My LX on the other hand is dead silent no matter what i'm driving on, but it has the price tag to go along with that luxury. I really wanted a Braptor when i was shopping for the LX but that damn thing would have driven me nuts on long trips with all the noise.

When Ford designed and buit the 2011 6.7 F-250, they used the Lexus ES 350 as a benchmark for a quiet cabin at highways speeds. They hit a home run, and they've only gotten better.

The EV also discharges with the AC. I doubt EVs are going to get you farther in an evacuation. I suspect it is the other way round.
I have an EV and and ICE vehicle, and if I ever have to evacuate NOLA, with the herd, I will use the ICE vehicle. The next evacuation will give us the first useful data on this.
