have nose dived and promise to bottom out this summer. First off the government subsidies that made them were halved in Jan and sales went to hell in a hand basket with the other half of the subsidy expiring this summer.

The quality of the product has been held up to some ridicule. And worse people with problems can't get them fixed due to a shortage of parts and funding at the company to repair under warranty. Plus no dealer body available in many cases to do the work.

Add to that they have bonds coming due and questionable ability to meet their obligations. And some suppliers have cut business with the company due to problems getting paid. How Elon Musk has stayed out of jail after his taking the Co private with funding arranged announcement is a miracle. What will survive is likely the battery plants for someone and maybe even the auto making idea or company if some one like the Saudi's buys it out of BK or whatever. No more government sugar tit so it probably deserves to die. For sure Musk deserves a harsh landing.

Tesla is the modern day version of the Edsel. A lemon.

It is a shame.

Tesla S is a sexy looking car and I would love to own one.

It was a great idea, but the business model was not sound. A little too much Cali and not enough Detroit.

Great car and great design but at the end of the day don’t count on the US government. Elon is a genius, no question but when you get in bed with the big dogs you have to be ready to fight, maybe he will.

Executive turnover is par for the course at Tesla. This is not news.

It's an expected January downtick, not a "nosedive". And they are ramping up overseas sales.

Every car manufacturer could take advantage of the same exact programs. Don't act like Tesla got special treatment.

I dunno man

Teslas are taking over Lexus RX as most common car Uptown Nola. Maybe your neighbors just don’t purchase them.

Porsche is McDonalds and Tesla is Burger King. It doesn’t matter who is best. It matters who is first. Porsche has decades and decades of a head start.

You got it. Plus the entire Tesla thing was a cousin to an elaborate ponzi. Musk is a promoter who has bilked investors and ran the stock up to outrageous highs but the day to produce has come. Government subsidies and high gas prices allowed Musk to sell the dream. Now Porsche and a couple other established big companies are bring better and more over, quality products on stream that fit the same market. And they can actually produce those, you can get service on them and from them. And your investment is solid.

This has nothing to do with capitalism or privatization. Musk is a promoter all right but he took advantage of big government subsidies to sell his vehicles. Now that big government subsidy has played out boom! This is a failure of big government subsidy based BS.

I love mine and I see more on the road every day in Houston. Not sure what inside information you have but with international and domestic sales they are easily selling 5k a week and that’s a sedan. They’re going to unveil the model Y within the next month or 2 and when that hits the market it’ll outsell the model 3 since Americans overwhelmingly prefer an SUV to sedans. Once the Y is in production the 3 will continue to do moderately well domestically while selling extremely well internationally where they prefer smaller sedans.
