it won't be because the culture where islam dominates and originated from is a twisted culture that hasn't developed the past 1,000 years. even if there is an elimination of extremist muslims, moderates are extremist compared to our cultural values. you'd have to eliminate the extremists and the moderates to find cultural synergy
the cornerstones of the west are opposition points for even moderate islam. you can't have their culture develop and advance without using the cornerstones. it's a pointless endeavor

Explain yourself. You cited shellfish, etc. You are speaking of Jewish customary laws. Jesus was the fulfillment of all law. He even told Peter in Acts that he should "Rise, kill, and eat." This was an emphatic lesson on the reduction of the law to love Jesus with your whole heart. Do me a favor, for the rest of your debate with me, use only verses from the bible or the Quran, don't tell me that the Catholic Inquisition shows Christianity is bad. That is people twisting doctrine for power. I'm showing you that the Quran doesn't need to be twisted to promote violence.

The fact is that you have to go back to the middle ages to find anything close to comparable acts in the name of Christianity.
If a group or country instituted slavery in 2015, would you excuse them because the United States allowed it in the past? Could we not speak out against it because it was once accepted here?

it doesn't, but the Christian book didn't, either
it's only since the Enlightenment of about 500 years ago that Christianity progressed, and that was because western values were established, developed, and promoted which raised our standard of living to a point where Christian doctrine developed in kind.

What's so odd is how Islam got to this point. A thousand years ago they were translating Aristotle and Homer and studying Pythagorus. Europeans were far behind them in technology, culture and philosophy. How they stagnated and then regressed is befuddling to me.

I'd also like you to explain how the founder of Islam, Muhammed, was a jihadist. He conquered Mecca and promoted violent conquests. Was he a radical, moderate, or lukewarm Muslim?
