But I digress... the point I was making was that if you hear of a mass shooting happening in America then you are just as likely to find out a white dude did it as you are to find out a Muslim did it.

Well you had the black dudes that killed all those cops but no biggie. I'll let you get back to building your strawman showing how white Americans are just as terroristic as Muslims.

I think terrorism can involve attempted injury to one person. But there has to be a political, religious, or ideological motive that is intended to impact more than just the perpetrator and victim.

I don't know the exact definition but I would consider bombing federal buildings, voting booths, and the like to be terrorist attacks even if they neither intend to injure nor actually injure.

I personally think it's a bit fricked for us to essentially create this mess and then turn away innocent people who are trying to escape the mess we created.
How did we create it?

Well by definition "terrorist" classify themselves based on some identifying factor so our TV driven culture makes it easy to target those specific groups. It also allows political opportunist to create boogie men (it's not like these groups don't deserve to be called out), and sidestep issues that are just as important but not as tangible (e.g. Mental health)

But I digress... the point I was making was that if you hear of a mass shooting happening in America then you are just as likely to find out a white dude did it as you are to find out a Muslim did it.

And if you take into account the fact that there are about 200 million Caucasian people in the U.S. and about 3 million Muslims, then those per capita numbers don't come out looking so hot.

Idk why you would bring this up unless you think I agree with the concept of a "hate crime", but I actually do believe the label "hate crime" do be a bit rediculous because I'm a pragmatist. I'm just as dead no matter your motivations.

I agree. Property damage attacks (or even symbolic attacks - cross burning) seem pretty tame these days, but any action with the intention to intimidate based on some ideological motive works for me.

Of course, SJWs will tell us that Trump written in sidewalk chalk qualifies.

It may not matter to a dead person, but it's definitely going to matter to the people who aren't dead.

frick...they said there are at least two children that were visiting from France (I believe they said France) that were injured as well. And a woman rescued from the Thames that was somehow tossed from the bridge. (maybe she jumped to avoid being mowed down)

well I edited, just for you.

not to mention it's a topic discussed ad nauseam. I'd like to think most agree that the US created ISIS.

And to those trying to figure out why something happened and to attempt to prevent it from happening again in the future?

Yea, motivation is damn important.

It really goes back to WWI and the Sykes-Picot Agreement.

I agree with both of these, but terrorism didn't find it's origins once we went in. We may have poked the bee's nest a bit but the bees were swarming regardless.
