Prohibition only made things worse and Republicans going down that road are political fools.

There are plenty of laws on the books that simply aren't enforced or are neglected.

The Highlander pub on the square in Collierville is my fave place to have Lemon Drop Martini when I’m there visiting family.

I’m a little more than an hour east of there.

Need to do something about drunk driving. Stiffer penalties would be better. Same with distracted driving.

I've lived out west most of my life and beer at gas stations was the norm, I thought. Hell, you can buy hard liquor at Circle K here as well as CVS. I honestly haven't paid attention in every state I've been to but WA is the same way. I'm sure Utah has restrictions at least.

Eta- I do remember trying to by liquor in Oregon at night one time and it being a PITA

It may not be like this anymore but last time I was in Pittsburgh I went to a 7-11 to get beer and they didn't have any. I had to go to a liquor store.

Those closed early too so after like 6pm I had to go to a bar and get a 6pk to go at bar prices. It was a whole new world to me.

I have no idea about that part of the country. I haven't spent much time in PA or points northeast of there.

Narcissists with delicate sensibilities attempting to force others to abide by their version of morality. Guarantee these dorks talk about “small government” in their campaign ads.

Maybe just enforce laws on books. Several ppl around here get arrested for 3+ DUI’s and let right back out.

I thought this was America?

Ice chest sales about to sky rocket in Tennessee. Put the road soda on ice the night before.

Here’s the difference between us and you. We will call dumb shite from the right out when it’s dumb. While you stump for whatever absurdity is pushed for by the progressives, no matter how useless or destructive.

Tennesse Trying To Ban Sales Of Cold Beer

It is the VoLOL's, cold beer means nothing to them. Now if they were banning boxed wine in Tennessee then they are serious.

In places like Minnesota and Wisconsin nature provides them with a natural beer fridge for most of the year.

They just put a case in the truck bed and wait a bit. That’s not a good option down here.

Yeah, Pennsylvania has some strange laws when it comes to alcohol. It may have changed since then, but when I was up there years ago you could only buy liquor at state owned liquor stores and beer at restaurants.

Most restaurants had coolers in the front where they sold beer to go. I think you csn now buy beer in stores but only on certain days and at certain hours.

I thought cell phones have caused more wrecks involving fatalities than drunk drivers? I could be wrong and that doesn't mean drunk driving isn't still a problem, but how is not selling refrigerated alcohol going to stop the problem?

People who go to convenience stores to buy beer to drink right away, hell.. Put an ice chest in the truck, drink the first one hot.. while the others are on ice. How are they going to monitor how much each person at a bar is drinking? Will the bartender keep track of every person coming in, then when someone orders 2 or more beers at once (one for them the others for other people) are they are to ask "okay so tell me which person will get each beer?").

What if someone goes to one bar has so many drinks then goes to another bar?

Restaurants.. A party of four goes in, one drinks more than 2 others, 1 doesn't drink.. If they set the limit at 3, the one who likes to drink more orders his max of 3, the other 2 only drinks two, they and the one who doesn't drink can order for the one who drinks more. Or, they can stop off at the store, buy their alcohol, put it in an ice chest, drink their limit at the restaurant then when they get in their vehicle they have more waiting for them.
