When I was at LSU, registration was an all day affair. You had to walk between buildings to sign up for different classes.

I grooved at Groovin on the Grounds

When I was at LSU we had registration in the Assembly Center and you got computer punch cards for the class. If no cards, no seats. We would trade cards for classes.

I worked the door at TA’s Tavern.

I watched Pete play his senior year
I began hating Norte Dame and Texas for the Cotton Bowl non-invite
I watched Jimmy Gilbert throw a TD to Andy Hamilton against Auburn
I watched Bert Jones play with the freshman team

When I was at LSU they switched from scheduling classes with punch cards to the Reggie system via telephone.

No Easy Street gates keeping cars off campus, James defeated Pizza Girl, and Old Row was still Old Row. Also the last year or two before smart phones became widesperead.

I played floor hockey in the old Gym Armory building. I believe it’s the Cox Communication building now.

Me too, all of the above.

A violent goose used to chase me off my path from Herget Hall to CEBA.

Saw Elvis in concert at the Assembly Center. Twice! It was not yet the PMAC.

My mother in law attended the LSU/Ole Miss Billy Cannon game. She loves to repeat that story to her grandkids.

A flat of Natty (tall boys) was $11.99. This was our breakfast, lunch & dinner. Had to drive all the way down Lee/college Dr for that Taco Bell 4th meal.

This is a pretty good thread for “tell me you didn’t go to LSU” as well (not that there’s anything wrong with that). It’s obvious to spot who didn’t go to school there.

Seconded. Each year was different. Pizza Girl, Guy who drove car into the quad causing bomb squad to show, the hippie trying to light a flag on fire. What a crazy few years

I waited in the lobby of Herget Hall with Clarence Caesar for our girlfriends to come down…. Not together, we were just there at the same time a couple times.. then walked across the way to the brand new Rec Center where i saw Geert Hammink hanging out.. then walked back to my room at Power Hall.. i can visualize all that stuff like it was 6 months ago, but it’s been 30 yrs .
