I remember the legislature trying to cut the funding for the construction of the Indian mounds.

Stone house on the end. Had five bedrooms and a huge arse "party room"?
I went to quite a few there. Then a band took over the house and they actually didn't party as much.

When I was at LSU I’d meet up with people on here to study @ Club Mid.

I was on the field. When Hamilton caught the touchdown pass before halftime the roar from the crowd felt like a breeze from electric fans.

(see what I did there? "fans"?)

Fantastic!

Ellis to this day is reportedly still looking the ball into his hands for the sure interception.
BTW, found this gem.
Hamilton for the TD

The Carlotta street block party was the thing to do for Halloween.

I was in a "band" then and played the drums at a random house on Carlotta during Halloween. Good times!

Really good chance. The Tiger had good hot sausage Poboys. Were you in a frat?

By the time I was a junior/senior and had a decent part time job we started hitting TGIF and drinking $0.75 Whisky Sours. Ate at the Spaghetti Store and if I was trying hard to please a date Pinetta’s.

Friday’s before football games in the fall were classics. Lots of good bands around. Poo Nanny at the Common Ground was good. Copus Brothers at Cahoot’s was every Friday. Breakaways at Lena’s in Addis on Sunday. Chuck’s in Addis had great cold beer and a super juke box. Leon Russell playing Lady Blue is a very fond memory.

M&DA building was under construction and surrounded by a black tarp.

Didn’t have gates to access the Pentagon Dorms

Easy Streets didn’t exist my first year

Being in band and playing the VaTech alma mater on the field just two weeks after the shooting

Watching Les figure out if Keiland, Scott, or Hester had the hot hand

Blowing teams out in bowl games (Miami, ND, OSU, GaTech)

Transition from Old Box to new

Hurricane Gustav and a thick layer of snow within the same year

I saw Pete Maravich play in the Cow Palace. As a freshman. I saw LSU when the the Assembly Center, the Bernie Moore track stadium, and the tennis courts were nothing but fields. I saw Kirby Smith being built.

I remember the special needs girl in the cafeteria at Broussard Hall with the counter saying “Wecome to LSU” every time I ate for years.

I survived Perry Bowl.
