I can clearly remember the Warren Morris walk off.

I remember when TGBFT marched with precision.
Dr. Rouse was a stickler for that.
Those crooked lines nowadays are an embarrassment.

Having Bert Jones and Collis Temple sitting on either side of me in a sophomore English class. I was a second semester freshman. They were riding Seniors.

Every football Saturday, my friends and I called Charlie Mac. He was in the phone book and talked to us. Carlos Carson caught five touchdowns in one game. I lived in non-air conditioned Johnston and South Stadium. Frequented Magoo’s and Dirty Pierre’s.

David Duke in free speech alley. Everybody thought he was a joke. The tiger bar where. Ida gave me the clap. They painted over the words in the bathroom and it got repainted.

Left wing radical Abby Hoffman came to campus. Campus leftists were giddy with joy that an idol was there and after the speech planned to take him to The Bayou or some place like that. I heard Abby wanted to go to Murphy's and prowl for some young sorority chicks (he was the age of most students' parents). Needless to say, his student hosts were disappointed.

Watched Andy Hamilton make Notre Dame’s All American Clarence Ellis look like a minor league batter torqued by a major league change up. Anecdote with mixed metaphors to intrigue and delight.
I was on the field. When Hamilton caught the touchdown pass before halftime the roar from the crowd felt like a breeze from electric fans.
(see what I did there? "fans"?

No vehicle parking hang tags - just stickers.
Dungeons for racket ball.
Pulling cards.
Tigerland was all students and nice.
Angelle Graves used SGA student funds to pay Otis Day and the Nights to play on campus.
Mike had a pitifully sad little cage.
CEBA
Bald pu$$ies did not exist.
North Gate Seafood and Liquor. Saw one of the clerks armed with a gun chase a shoplifter down the street.
Raise the flag and Ponchos on Nicholson.
Bookstore in Union.
You could actually see all of the LSU lakes - no crap growing everywhere.
Plenty of parking in the Stadium lot.
Some frat boys (not sure which) pissed off a lot of coeds. During change of classes in the Quad they were holding up numbers rating random women as they walked by. Some of the fatties apparently didn't like a group of dudes holding up big cards with 2's and 3's on them. Why LSU was a better place was that the guys were not kicked off of campus, jailed, protested at home, etc. Nope. Some sorority started doing the same thing in the quad as guys walked by. People were just mentally stronger then.

Our football tickets are in the lower bowl of the NEZ. At halftime, we would go under the the stadium and smoke weed.
