I can get a brand new HD 4L80E shipped to my house for $1700, and it would take a transmission shop probably 2hrs to install

14 Camaro. Had for 7 months. 5200 miles. Guess I won't need a new one for 10 years.

I'm planning to just get a used if it starts to slip, then get mine rebuilt with better than stock clutches and bands.
Then throw it back in. I rebuilt a 46re before but I think I'll just have a shop do my next rebuild.
I would want to take it off, because at that point I would probably go ahead and do the engine Overhaul.
This toyota though has impressed me by how little it has needed.

Me and downshift have the same truck and transmission and you'd charge him more?
What part about my other post did you think was funny?

I think a brand spanking new one in the box is a count hair north of $3k. $2900 for a rebuild on that is outrageous.

Are you counting a transfer case rebuild also?
If I bring the transmission to you how much does it cost for me to come pick it back up rebuilt?
Eta: it's behind a 6.0
