South America is further east than most people realize. All of its Pacific coastline is at least as far east as Florida - and most of it is further east. Rio is two time zones ahead of NYC. The easternmost point stretches out nearly as far as Iceland.

I don't really care about this argument but I assume the part of this word that reads continent is crucial to understanding the meaning.

DMX is the only music artist to have his first five albums debut at #1. His sixth album debuted at #2. His first two albums were both released in the same year.

Orlando wasn’t his first choice though. He was actually eyeing land near Panama City beach. The controller of St. Joe Company, who owns vast swaths of land in that area, shut it down before it got started because he “doesn’t deal with carnival people”

Disney also had his eye on a stretch of beach near Panama City and paid Ball a visit.

Ball kept Disney waiting outside his office for hours, former St. Joe CEO Peter Rummel told Fortune Magazine in 2005.

At the end of the day, Ball’s secretary simply handed Disney a note that read, “We don’t deal with carnival people,” according to Rummel.

This is a very common gif. People post it when they're being slick. No one seems to notice that he's not winking. He looks like a kid who is unable to wink. I show this to people, they have seen the gif a million times, his other eye is 2 millimeters away on their phone, and they have never noticed it.

Franco's head turned forces depth and the framing of the shot make you focus on his left eye. If you force yourself to focus on his right, he looks dumb as shite and not slick at all. You see the reality:

I was once a pretty avid chess player and my gf and I were in a bar in NYC playing some chess - our waiter thought he was big shite and told me he could beat me in 4 moves. I took him up on the bet - this little gambit was what he tried. It didn't work.

cop (n.)

"policeman," 1859, abbreviation (said to be originally thieves' slang) of earlier copper (n.2), which is attested from 1846, agent noun from cop (v.) "to capture or arrest as a prisoner."

I do as well. Lots of very good ones.

Africa is the only continent that covers all 4 Hemispheres.

Lake Taal on the island of Luzon, in the northern end of the Philippines archipelago, holds a special distinction. It’s one of only two lakes in the world, as of now, to have a third order island within it —the lake itself being part of the order. In other words, Lake Taal, which is located within the island of Luzon, has an island (Volcano Island) that has a lake (Crater Lake) that contains its own small island called Vulcan Point.

China covers 5 time zones but only uses one. (UTC+8, the time in Beijing.)

Octopuses have three hearts.

Polar bears have black skin.

Tiger's skin is actually striped just like their fur. No two are alike.
