- There are only two countries in South America that do not border Brazil.
- Alaska is both the most eastern and western state since it resides in both hemispheres.
- Reno is farther west than Los Angeles.

I still like this one: Dalhart, TX is closer to the capital cities of six other states than it is to Austin.

I love geography ones…

•There’s a point in Tennessee closer to Canada than Memphis
•Maine is the closest state to Africa
•El Paso is closer to the Pacific Ocean than Houston
•The northern tip of Brazil is closer to EVERY other country in the americas than it is to the southern tip of Brazil.

I mean, that looks incorrect. I want it it to be correct so please prove me wrong. Most of the Caribbean and Central America are closer. Iceland is almost as close as Russia.

It's actually R-B's for Raffel Brothers, the founders.

Not even close. Little Diomede Island, Alaska, USA is only 2.4 miles from Big Diomede Island, Chukotka, Russia.

The distance from mainland to mainland at the narrowest point in the Bering Strait is only 55 miles. Cuba, for example, is 90 miles.

ETA: Iceland is 3,559 miles from the closest point to the US, as the crow flies.

Alaska is our northernmost state and, because of the international dateline running through the Aleutian Islands, it’s also both our westernmost and easternmost.

There are more possible chess games than there are atoms in the visible universe.

The highest point in Nebraska has a higher elevation than Denver.

The Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

Well obviously Alaska and Russia are extremely close as you noted. But Alaska is not commonly included in the “continental” United States.
