for real though I believe animals definitely have “feelings” and emotions and such. I can tell my cat is genuinely happy and excited to see me when I come home from work each day. Might be the only time that frickers ever happy but still.

A cat with some sort of medical reason to have "tears," rather than crying from an emotional response.

I was always a hater on cats, grew up with nothing but dogs. Finally agreed to let wife (no pics) and kids have a cat. Love the hell out of that a-hole. Cats definitely sense when something is wrong or you are sick. Ours typically doesn't want nothing to do with us, b/c we antagonize the hell out of him, but if you are sick or having a bad day, he'll come and lay on you every single time, all day, if need be.
ETA: The rest of the time he's a dick, and will stalk you and try to trip you as walking by, or knock papers off the table and stare at you as he does it.
