Lost 7-5 to them my junior year (1993) in the 3A baseball playoffs and they went on to win state. We left the bases loaded in the 7th. I was on deck for the last out…all I’ve got.

It's cheap and the commute into Lafayette is pretty short and sweet. School district isn't that good but some of the smaller towns nearby like Branch, Richard, or Mire have K-8 schools that are. It's basically a smaller version of Crowley with a better commute to Lafayette.

I have a similar story. Just wondering if the same girl....Or maybe just something in the water there. Heh, the Rayne water.

This is an understatement. If you can’t send the kids to Notre Dame, do what all the other people do and get them into Iota

Church Point is trashier than Crowley? Have you been to either West or South Crowley?

I’m from south crowley baw. Point was that crowley has nice areas and a nice downtown and businesses. This is south louisiana.. every town has trash. It’s nice in crowley that the trash is pretty secluded in the southern and western parts of town rather than integrated into decent neighborhoods

I exited I-10 one time where the Popeyes is in Rayne. It was raining lightly. I saw tons of crawfish just in and around the ditch in front of it. So I picked up a pounds worth.

That's what I know about Rayne.

I met a pretty blonde girl that was a real estate agent and she is from there.
I always wondered what happened to her after we lost contact.

My father lived and passed away in Rayne. Just a small Cajun town. Good Catholic people there.
