What days are you staying? I have an airbnb that Ill give you the TD discount. Its 1 blk from city park and downtown.

If youre in town on Wed - Sat eat dinner at Lizzies on Main St....next to Bojangles. Owner is Florence Italy trained pastry chef and her husband is a tra8ned chef from Massachusetts. Great food.

Legnon’s Boucherie on Jefferson Terrace has , in my opinion, the best boudin in Acadiana.

Really good sushi.

Never had the oysters.

There is Poor Boy’s Riverside Inn in Broussard right outside NI that has really good raw oysters. Had the crawfish and crab bisque there recently. Damn good.

Fashion nexus going back to at least The Great War (World War I for the YoungBloods on here). I think there was a video documentary posted in the past 5 years on here if somebody has that link?

When I went to LSU, I used to go shoot pool at the Union between classes and I got to know another guy that did the same. His nickname was Sticks and he was from New Iberia. His last name is a top 10 in the Cajun name thread. Him and I met up to shoot pool for a couple of semesters.
Haven’t thought about him in a long time.

Seems someone has a sense of humor. After years of reading this board and laughing at the shite yall sling at some of these small LA towns, my work is sending me to New Iberia for a week. Staying there, but driving south to an even smaller LA town for some training. My company’s product expert lives around there and a group of us are coming down.

Assume just about every gas station has great food. Also assume I can get a haircut of that namesake at any barbershop. Any places where I could run either early AM or late PM and not get stabbed/shot? I’m old, so I try to maintain a low profile when traveling for work. No bars or nightlife for me. Thinking I’ll drive the 7 hrs from Bham instead of flying into Lafayette and renting a car. Presume all Alabama car tags get pulled over on principle.

Thoughts and prayers…….

You will be fine in So LA especially if you stay out of the bars at night. Many good suggestions for food already in this thread. Just be careful of the rougarou.
