Bayou Greenbelt Master Plan
Download the plan
With an eye towards attracting and retaining talent, local business leader Mike Nodier looked at a map of Lake Charles and noted the waterways flowing through and surrounding the community. Inspired, he envisioned a 23-mile loop offering outdoor recreation opportunities for residents and visitors alike. He shared his idea for the Bayou Greenbelt with the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana, whose leadership quickly recognized its alignment with their goal of enhancing quality of life in the region. Since then, two board members, Jon Manns and Lee Boyer, have been hands-on advocates for the project and the Foundation continues being the lead organization moving the vision for the Bayou Greenbelt from concept to implementation.

You hang with the wrong kind of crowd if you're going to go to an LSU game and someone is sober enough to sit in traffic and drive two hours west.
I’d gladly take a sober evening if it means I get to sleep in my own bed. If I’m there all day I can easily have drinks during the day over a 5 to 6 hour span and be cleared up to drive home that night. There ain’t nothing going on in BR after the games that I feel the need to be at.

Lost my cherry in 1979 to a Vinton girl.....on her trampoline of all places. All I have to offer about the LC area but if that is any indication its a fantastic place to live,,,,among my fondest memories....

Yes the new dispensary is located there. Passed by last night on way to dinner. Surprised by the amount of traffic there.

Yes Graywood was developed by the Stream Family, hence the name.

Very nice.
Would you have any information relating to the modification of the I-210/I-10
interchange west of the Calcasieu River Bridge Project.
I have not been able to access any current map from LADOTD or determine when the acquisition phase will begin.

Don's Car Wash on Ryan was printing money before the hurricanes.
Hopefully back doing well.

How likely is it that this gets funded and completed?
I'd buy a house in LC with no regrets if this was there. My biggest hang up about LC is that there's no way I could get around by bicycle.

Ture story... When I was in high school I used to do some "cone racing", usually out in the parking lot at Burton. One time I got paired up for cone duty with a guy that had a Lotus, which I thought was incredible. When I walked up he said nice to meet you, "I'm Don". And I put it together as I saw his tow vehicle truck had a big Don's Carwash sign on the back.

I was at the GN casino working on their lazy River and was told some information that I’ve heard for the second time in two weeks. GN is raking in the money to be expanding like this.
GN is soon to build a big pavilion where the H2O concert stands are currently (by the tennis courts). All concerts and large events will be held there.
A second casino floor will go upstairs where the event center was previously.
A children's arcade will be installed (not sure where)
The hotel to the east of the pool will be lengthened going toward the golf course.

That was Don Breaux. Used to be the GM of Don's. He had a Subaru WRX wagon before the Lotus. But Don Bruno was the owner. I believe Don Breaux is now one of the higher up managers at Alfred Miller.
