Tell me about fat bikes

you really cant tell that much with the weight due to gears. It does help with momentum and the ride is softer

Ride isn't going to be softer with that hard tail if you're doing any kind of trail rides, unless the trails are pavement.

It's a gimmick bike unless you do ALOT of snow,sand,or mud riding.

No suspension means it's not even a great trail bike unless you're slow speeding it.

A very expensive gimmick.

I have a Trek stache. Not a true fatty at only 3.1” tires, but I consider it a fatty. It’s fun. With 3.1” you can literally run over anything. Still sub 30 pounds, but definitely a bitch to climb with. I wanted a hardtail 29er, so why not go fatty. I’m heading to southern Colorado in about 6 weeks for some real snow riding on it. Should be fun.

Is this a joke about fat girls and mopeds?

I rode one of the rigid versions and it didn't feel any different than normal tires. I was pretty surprised by that. They've started making full suspension versions but I've yet to test one. I'm thinking about it over the holiday, I think they'll do well on the rocks.

this looks like something that a middle school "boy band" age Country act would ride a song about his girl riding on the back of his bike and cruising under the stars or some shite

Good for riding in sand or mud... that’s about it.
