Don't know, it's subjective. For some, they would believe so. For others, it was not. He murdered his own mother. Tried to kill his father. Many believe that justice served would he his own death.

I'm not going to cry over this convicted murderer having to wait until he's in his 50's to taste freedom again.

You and I probably agree on a lot. It was a long time ago and I'm not completely clear on how much I can share.

Know this, if someone put a "free Clay" button on my desk that I could smack at any point to set it him free, I would never press the button. However, who's cross is heavier. Mine for keeping him locked up, or him for shooting his parents?

I don't think he gives a shite about his parents or the people he hurt.

Even if he did, I don't care. I'd gladly look at that button on my desk every day as I sipped my morning coffee knowing that psycho is never getting out.

Sadly, that button doesn't exist and this guy is getting out. He'll have a job again. He'll enjoy life again.

And I think you might be right even though I want to believe he's not the same person he was in 1996.

Was justice served?

Nope. See my post above about a 9mm to the back of the head.

I'm not sure how a 16 year old can be considered anything other than a child. You're either a child, or an adult.

The DA sure as shite saw him as an adult. They tried for the Death Penalty.

He is in Hunt Correctional in St. Gabriel.

I thought he was out. His sentence reduced.

Find him then. You can find anyone incarcerated in Louisiana here.

I messaged a buddy of mine who graduated from EHS in 1998. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember anyone dying while out joyriding. Sorry I couldn't help.

This is off topic but seeing as there seems to be some EHS people here, I used to play in the yard with this kid circa 1997 or so and I found out that he took his parents car out for a joy ride underage and hit a tree and died I think around that time. I think he went to Episcopal but I can't remember his name for the life of me. Does anyone know who I'm referring to?

Ainsley Phillips maybe? Killed as a passenger with some friends. Was a close friend of my sister.

That might've been closer to 2000 though.

He is actually on parole and no longer incarcerated.

Im not sure if Clay is short for another name. Clay Logan does not come up in the search feature. I will find the link that states he is at Hunts for 40 years. Maybe it was reduced. IDk

He's been out for almost 2 yrs. He WAS in Houma area according to his grandpaws obituary. I think he's in Oregon now.

I'm surprised there was not any news coverage about his release.

My guess is local outlets reached out to family and they didn't want it to be news.

Yea. She's got an Interior Design bidness.

Always amazes me how some of the people that have had the most fricked up shite possible happen to them turn out to be some of the nicest and most caring people there are.

I always marvel on here when people state things as fact (I do know), then go on to cite pure speculation and opinion.

This drives me insane and I see it all the time IRL. My condo association has a wacked old lady that does this at least 80% of the time.

So he basically did 20 years. Sister and father had to of lobbied for his release. No way they would reduce the sentence that much without victim cooperation.
