LUCKNOW, INDIA -- Police in northern India said on Thursday they had arrested a man who beheaded his daughter and carried her severed head to the village police station, a case that spurred calls for a new law against so-called honour killings.
The man told police he had attacked his 17-year-old daughter with an axe on Wednesday in anger over her relationship with a man.
"He said he saw his daughter in a compromising position with a man and he beheaded her in a fit of rage," Anurag Vats, police superintendent of Hardoi district in northern Uttar Pradesh state, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Last month, a woman was burnt alive by family members over an inter-faith relationship in Uttar Pradesh, local media reported, quoting police officials.
"Daughters in India are seen as a sign of family honour, which results in such crimes," said Madhu Garg, vice president of All India Democratic Women Association's Uttar Pradesh chapter.
"The issue of the right to choice needs immediate attention and a separate law should be made for dealing with honour killing," she added.
India recorded 24 honour killings in 2019, with Uttar Pradesh accounting for no cases. Two years earlier, the state registered 14 of the country's 92 such killings, recent government crime data shows.

Damn, imagine how the "woke" would handle this. This is an actual issue to be upset about, not pancake syrup and children's books.

"He told police he had seen his daughter with a young man that he believes she was seeing, which made him angry as he was against it," the spokesperson added.
As Kumar, a vegetable seller from Pandetara village, made the one-mile walk from his home to the police station, local passersby alerted the police, who stopped him and began to film him.
So you know he knows how to chop em up

Bringing these to the US would help get the WAP trash so prevalent today back in line.

Remember when the US made a top 10 list of "worst countries to be a woman?"

Mostly peaceful religion

Funny, but it’s the religion of peace that’s at play here.
ETA:
After some research, it appears my assumption is wrong... in part.
While honor killings are much more common by Muslims than Hindus, the practice is less directly tied to religion in Hinduism than in Islam. It’s mostly a cultural phenomenon that migrated from the Arab world eastward with the Muslim incursion.
