I'm surprised this didn't get more pub. 6 Americans were murdered in cold blood and there wasn't even a thread about it.
Meanwhile, some trouble tween offs herself and we're 5 pages in.

We have a huge mental health crisis in America.
Mass produced therapy and drugs was never the goal. It is now, but that's not what early psychologists were aiming for.
The most prescribed drugs are basically cholesterol drugs and mental drugs. Both way oversold to us.
Where is the long term study on pregnant women taking ssris?

I dont care what affiliation..what grown human parent lets their kid get even almost into that physical state of decay?
Not just physically. But if that picture is a memorial idolizing the Columbine shooters from her room (or their home) then it’s even more egregious parenting. If your kid has a fricking shrine at home of someone like the Columbine murderers, it may be time for a talk (and some therapy) with your kid. fricking absentee parenting should be illegal.

I was thinking it likely had its own discussion that I missed since it had happened the day before my post. Maybe it didn’t. I didn’t search.
Did the 6 Americans die? I have just read that 2 Americans were shot and 4 more injured fleeing the pyramid.
quote:
The number of people injured in the shooting at the Teotihuacan pyramids in central Mexico has risen to 13, including seven people who were shot, among them two U.S. citizens, according to updated information released by Mexican authorities. A Canadian woman was killed in the attack and the gunman later died at the scene.
…An updated casualty report released later Monday showed 13 people were injured in total, including seven with gunshot wounds.
Those listed as shot were a 6-year-old Colombian boy, a 37-year-old Colombian woman, a 29-year-old Canadian woman, a 32-year-old Russian man, a 13-year-old Brazilian girl, a 29-year-old American man and a 61-year-old American woman.
The other injured included four more U.S. citizens, a 55-year-old Brazilian woman and a 22-year-old Colombian woman. Their injuries were described as falls, abrasions or other non-gunshot trauma.

Agreed, I said physically because thats the part the parent can see, without knowing anything else

People can blame whatever.. Politics, what kids consume.. as in music, movies, etc.. But the problem we have is a parent problem in this country. I understand it might not always be the parents fault, but its usually the parents fault

Each individual is ultimately accountable for their actions and decisions

Exactly. Good people can in fact make a piece of shite.
But seriously, I get what you are saying and yes there are people who turn out different from how they were raised, but I am sure if you dig deep enough there was something that there that maybe impacted them more than parents assumed it would, but this girl for example. First, she had parents who allowed her to have all of those piercings.
Especially if I was the age of 18, if I would have gone home with shite like that I was well aware of how my parents would have responded and it wouldn't have been pretty. I know its not that simple, but you have to at least teach kids to have some self respect and that can go a long way.
