Damn, That’s a bizarre hoax for someone to pull. Occam’s Razor says the Mom killed the boy back in 2011 before killing herself. Almost to a person, those around her knew she was suicidal but thought she would never harm him , so there will always be doubt.

What benefit would this kid have by claiming to be the missing kid? Now he's outted as a liar and will probably be charged.

What a weird world we live in.

Possibly an adult convinced him to do it thinking there could be money involved somehow?

It didn't but maybe he wasn't the kid of the father.

I’m skeptical.

The thing I’m most skeptical about is that he said he kidnappers are two men with a bodybuilder’s build.

That is not at all the type of person I think of when I think of someone kidnapping a child. And it seems more like something a 13 year old kid would make up. In his mind he’s gotta think up some big scary bad guys, and what is more scary than some really huge muscular guys with tattoos.

When in reality a creep that would kidnap a kid doesn’t really fit that profile.
I love being right.

I guess I’m just not gullible.

This “kid” could be a grown adult. Ever hear of the Chameleon? Frédéric Pierre Bourdin

They wouldn't be ruling him out completely if the only thing they did was DNA test the "alleged" father.

But I've seen even some big organizations miss trivial shite, like nasa not having the suits for the women. So who knows. Maybe no one thought, "wait a minute, maybe he wasn't the dad and that's why she did all this then killed herself"

That's an improvement for NASA. If they were using pre-Challenger logic they would have layered her in clothing like Ralphie's little brother from A Christmas Story and threw her out into the vacuum of space in the oversized suit.

Yeah, whoever leaked the info that it might be him needs to be reprimanded/fired. Also, including that age progression photo threw a lot of people off, because they thought it was an actual photo of the kid who had been found.

Yeah, seems like right off the bat they would’ve said, “uh, you’re not 13. You have a fu Manchu.”

Honest question, would they not DNA test him with someone from the mother's side? A sister, aunt, grandparent, etc.?

As said, I would think the dad would not be the first and only DNA compared simply because there is always the chance he is not the father.

Yeah, but why wouldn't she just kill herself instead of paying any of the debts instead of giving her kid up then killing herself?

Makes no sense.
suicidal people are general nonsensical. However, they probably threatened to harm her kid if she didn't pay.

I feel bad for that family. Very cruel to try a stunt like this and giving them false hope.....

Whatever charges they can pin on this bastard- do it.
