This whole story is fishier than the Pike Place Market.

The lesson should be there are bad people. They use social media and the internet to meet, identify, and groom vulnerable individuals. Monitor your kids phones, tablets, and computers should be the lesson here.
This x’s 1000
Parents just let their young kids have unfettered access to social media and shite like Snapchat where you can’t monitor who they’re talking to or what they’re talking about. I’ve heard so many stories from friends and acquaintances about trouble with middle school aged kids and they all have one common denominator - Snapchat or social media
It blows my mind. The parents will blame anyone, from the schools, to other parents, to kids, etc… but they really need to look in the mirror and understand that they’re giving full blown access to a very dangerous medium for these young arse children. It’s mindblowing that they see the problem, know it exists, yet they won’t take it from their children because then they won’t be ‘cool’
I see that cycle countless times

Surveillance footage seen later that night showed the girl leaving the arena with a man, never returning to her seat at the game.
I don’t understand this. Why wouldn’t a 15 year old girl cause a loud uproar in a crowded arena and garner the attention of multiple people nearby? So she simply walked out with the man silently?!

Because the meet-up and runaway was all pre-planned through some sort of social media, most likely.
Not that she likely knew what she was ultimately getting into.

Back in the 70's, 80's, 90's and even 2000's letting a girl that age going to the bathroom by herself would not bother me. Today, I'm following her there and back. Sorry arse dad IMO.
These things happened more back then and back then they had less security and far worse or nonexistent surveillance/video security.
And she’s 15 not 11. That’s old.

Idiots in government are pedos. I doubt anything substantial happens with this.

Yeah the common theme in these "sex trafficking" cases is the whole runaway angle.
Just like the poster a few up said that it seems more dangerous now than in the 70s/80s. That's a laughable belief system. We just didn't use the term "sex trafficking" to describe runaway girls who end up as prostitutes. Those in power create a new name and it warps perception completely to where people think that she was just kidnapped out of a stall.

Those idiots have spun the spotlight around them by creating this "sex trafficking panic" so that they can keep exerting power over us as they lose their "war on drugs" powers.

In a crowded place, I've told my kids that even if they claim to have a a weapon, you need to raise a huge scene. If they get you out of public, you are dead or you will wish you were. Fight for your life.
I hate stories like this. I haven't read all the posts yet, but I can't help but wonder if she met this guy online and it was setup?

Try limiting a kids access to their phone and watch the sparks fly. We used to get grounded for misbehavior and I don't recall anyone freaking out like kids these days do about their fricking phones. There is an entire generation of kids that absolutely addicted to those things - it's like a goddam drug.

To me it seems highly likely she met up with him and intended to leave with him (I.e. some form of runaway), from there voluntary (runaway) May have turned to involuntary (sex trafficking).
A straight up random abduction, where the attacker doesn’t know anything of the victim, in a place they know has a whole lot of surveillance, seems unlikely. This would have required the would be abductor to randomly hang out by that bathroom all game just waiting on the slim odds of a single young girl taking a piss by herself mid-game.

I ok. I didn’t realize it was a run away situation. I thought it was a simple child nabbing.

They are very lucky they found her. I-35 from Dallas-Austin-San Antonio is a hot spot for sex trafficking. A lot of women and kids are kidnapped and brought into Mexico to never be seen again.

They always want to present the case as child nabbing but that almost never happens. It's family or a runaway situation like 95%+ of the time.
