Teen from Chicago found dead in walk-in freezer at Rosemont hotel

Kenneka Jenkins was discovered after an hours-long search and was pronounced dead at 12:48 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Jenkins' mother, Tereasa Martin, said police told her Jenkins apparently let herself into the freezer while inebriated and died inside. An autopsy was performed Sunday but it wasn't immediately clear whether foul play was suspected, according to Becky Schlikerman, spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office.

Very tragic that the girl died.
But - Tereasa is bout to get paid by the Rosemont Hotel. As a result, every walk-in freezer will be required to be retro-fitted with keyed locks; and the key is going to be kept in a combination lockbox. The combination to that lockbox will be kept secure in a keyed lockbox........

Coolers and freezers come with a knob to turn so the outside lock drops off. Usually there is an alarm button in there as well.
