A 15 year old knows not to bludgeon someone with a pipe and rape their corpse. Dude is fricking evil and likely insane. He needs to be removed from society
I can't disagree with that. But if he's insane, he's not even guilty, right? He may be sick, rather than evil.
Ever see the video of the little 6 or 8 year old girl, who sounds like the devil incarnate, talking about killing her siblings and her parents?

Any kid that could do something like this is seriously screwed up, and the reasons why should factor in for a minor. That said, I don't think they should be turned loose at 18, even though I have serious doubts about whether 25-40 years in prison could possibly create a productive member of society, suitable for release.
What should be done here then? I don't think it really matters the reasons how or why he got to be so fricked up, no matter what he isn't fit for society in any capacity and never will be.

Hang the little piece of garbage, don't care how young or old he is...

Well, if he's insane, he should be committed to a mental hospital/detention facility. If he's sick, or evil, he should be committed to a mental hospital/detention facility and treated.
But if he's just a stupid kid, with no regard for human life, he should have at least one chance to be a productive member of society.
We all did stupid shite when we were kids. Even stupid shite that could have gotten us, or other people killed. I fully understand that this case is on a whole different level than that.
The thing to me is, many of our prisons have dozens if not hundreds of adults who should be executed RFN. If you're going to give the benefit of the doubt to one, I'm going to have to give it to someone who has only experienced 15 years of life.

As if the pipe-beating death wasn’t enough!

It's hard for me to wrap my brain around executing, or keeping a minor in prison until they die of old age, for a decision they made at 15 years old.
It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around anyone beating a child to death with a pipe, regardless of age. To me there’s a sanity test - if you’re insane enough to do something like that, you will always be a danger to society, so you should be in jail for life. And if you’re gonna be in jail for life with no chance of parole, you should be executed

I get what you're saying, I really do. But we don't purposefully put insane people in jail. Insanity means they were incapable of discerning right from wrong.

Yeah, he was a mass shooting waiting to happen.

Cause spending life in prison is a far more sufferable punishment than the death sentence.

He was given a chance to be a productive member of society...he used his chance to sexually assault and bludgeon a 10 year old girl to death

Someone needs to take one for the team and kill that mother fricker.

Nope.
Not if someone sat down with him and explained it. There will be no production. No coverage. You will cease to exist. Not a memory. Nothing.
Your dim candle will be extinguished... And no one will ever think of you again.

Nobody under 18 should get the death penalty, or even life in prison, IMO.

you realize all murderers, serial killers and other sorts of human scum were once minors. some people are just evil and dont deserve to live (or be free); this kid is one of them.
who cares if he's 15, look at the crime. he should be put to death.

Not if you punish them right.
There are ways to extract copious agony from someone to where they beg for the sweet release of death.
We could auction off the opportunity to raise money for worthy causes, like trophy hunting
