Fry him up tomorrow imo. Get him out of society now, simple way to save money.
His dad should man up, and get the job don himself or ask that he is taken out. Instead of coping out of having to worry about the POS he reared. His father should be ostracized too, and should walk around with his head down with the embarrassment of being a worthless parent.

Nobody under 18 should get the death penalty, or even life in prison, IMO.
I'm as hard line as anyone when it comes to crime and punishment, but it being different for minors is a good thing. Any kid that could do something like this is seriously screwed up, and the reasons why should factor in for a minor.
That said, I don't think they should be turned loose at 18, even though I have serious doubts about whether 25-40 years in prison could possibly create a productive member of society, suitable for release.
It's hard for me to wrap my brain around executing, or keeping a minor in prison until they die of old age, for a decision they made at 15 years old.

A 15 year old knows not to bludgeon someone with a pipe and rape their corpse. Dude is fricking evil and likely insane. He needs to be removed from society
