I think I went to Frostop once with a group when we were over there for work. Special place in my memory. It was packed at lunch, but that was over 20 years ago.

I remember hearing about Checkpoint Charlie's when an older sibling was at Loyola, but not sure if I ever went there myself.

Enjoyed sharing these memories with you

That was on a corner, right? S. Tonti & Calhoun? If you're old enough to remember that, do you remember Bud's Seafood across the street? Great place.

Yup, was on a corner. They had killer burritos. Kokopelli's walked so Moe's and Chipotle could run. Damn right I remember Bud's!!. So good. If i was heading that way it was either Bud's or Kokopelli's.

Tulane's new on campus student housing rule is terrible for the city

I think it’s actually good for the city, but I’m unsure how Tulane was able to annex this property.

Is this development “Tulane” enough to be exempted from the property tax rolls?

Since this won't be on campus proper, hopefully Tulane's batshit construction regulations won't be in full effect, and I'll actually bid this project.

Was there not long ago with my spouse. We were running errands, and just needed a decent meal at a decent price, w/o bells and whistles. Ted’s gave us just what we wanted, with the added bonus of dining with a bunch of real New Orleanians, not a transplant in sight. Yes, the place is old, and it looks it. Did we mind? No! Too much of the city is being gentrified out of all recognition. We didn’t want any of that chichi stuff, which I’m sure is coming in the new build.

This is dreadful. Tulane is doing everything it can to milk room and board out of its students. That’s all this is. Thanks to subsidized student loans.

That looks like an awesome place.

Fricking Tulane students and their general business degrees.
